REDESO

Relief to Development Society (REDESO) is a Tanzania national Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) first registered in June 1998 under the Society Ordinance, 1954 (Registration number S.O. No. 9459), and registered again in May 2005 with registration No. 1466 under Non-Governmental Organization Act, 2002. The main objectives of the organization focus on relief and community development programs. For over 20 years, the organization has supported refugees, asylum seekers and local communities in Kagera, Kigoma, Tanga, Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Tabora, Shinyanga, Simiyu and Katavi Regions in Tanzania. REDESO is a long time serving partner with UNHCR from 1998 to date in serving Burundian and Congolese refugees in North-western Tanzania and urban caseload in Dar es Salaam. The organization managed the DAFI Scholarship-Tertiary Education for Refugees. REDESO worked in partnership with OXFAM (GB) and Oxfam Hong Kong, CONCERN WORLDWIDE, DANIDA, CAFOD (UK), JIFPRO, WFP, and UNICEF.
