Sakura (Tateiwa) Verdino is a visual designer based in NYC, specializing in graphic design, art direction, branding, web and print design... "We Don't Speak January" was a campaign launched on January 1st of 2023 at Equinox. While January is typically the biggest month for gym memberships, we made a statement by refusing to accept new members on that date. The reason? We believe those who join a gym on January 1st often aren't truly committed to getting fit... Our creative team was tasked with designing a fresh visual system for Shelter Plus, which included a new logo, typography, color palettes, photography direction, and shapes/patterns. While staying true to the identity of the parent brand (Adopt a Pet), we made sure to create something unique and cohesive for Shelter Plus.
