Philip Webb

Phil's background in Forestry began in the early 1970's, through conservation management and employment as a National Training Officer and Health and Safety Officer. In 1986 Phil launched his own forest management company with client contracts in South Wales, The Marches and Scottish Highlands. He represented APF then FTA on the UKWAS Steering Group and participated in the SLIMF trials on his Herefordshire woodland, which achieved FSC Certification. Forest management FSC auditing contracts commenced in 2007 with auditing experience in UK and Europe and including a Forest Service contract to establish Group Schemes in Ireland. Phil, a qualified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, entered partnership with Paul Sandys in 2012 to launch UKFCG. Phil continues to maintain up to date forest management expertise through membership of forest industry organisations, and as one of the Confor representatives on the UKWAS Steering Group.

Simon Webb

Job Titles:
  • Lead Auditor
Simon started his forestry career in his teens helping his father with tree planting and supervision of harvesting contracts. He subsequently set up his own business, forestry contracting in the Scottish Highlands. Following a move to Herefordshire his business now includes client contracts in The Marches of England and Wales. Simon is attending an FSC auditor training course and plans to enrol on a distance learning forestry degree course.
