Alan joined the team in January 2018 and is responsible for acquiring new properties and development sites across the UK.
Prior to this, Alan held senior roles leading the UK network development growth for several international brands including Luminar leisure, Pizza Hut, Papa John's Pizza and Regus.
He holds a BSc (Hons) in Urban Estate Management and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Outside of work, Alan is an avid rugby enthusiast, coaching mini & junior rugby on Sunday mornings and playing the occasional veterans game!

David started his current role in October 2020, following a period of freelance support in a lead generation role.
He has a finance and business development background in the fields of health and social care, with a particular interest in accommodation and assistive technology.
David has a successful track record of delivering business growth, in addition to securing competitive advantage.

Gavin has recently joined Mersten to work in the property team. The main part of his role is to source land/buildings that match the requirement across the UK.
Gavin has worked in this sector now for over 5 years and has a wealth of experience with developments, local authorities/commissioners, care providers and registered providers/charities.
In his spare time, Gavin is a keen football fan and even still plays a little when possible having a young family. Going to the theatre and frequenting good eateries is also a favoured past time.
Joining us in February of 2021, Jill has come to us from her previous implementation and project management role at Turning Point. With 33 years of experience in social care, Jill started as a support worker in supported living, residential and secure psychiatric services, which makes her a superb fit for the team.
Holding an RMA (Registered Managers Award) and with extensive knowledge of providing support and housing for complex individuals, Jill has 15 years operational management within the care sector (NHS, Social Services, Charity and private sector).
Jill is passionate about business development and maintaining high standards for service users and in her spare time she's an avid fan of Moto GP (Valentino Rossi is her hero) and will travel wherever she can to see him race. She enjoys hiking, reading and spending time with friends, family and her gorgeous dog, Jasper.
Laura joined Mersten in August 2021 as financial controller covering all aspects of accounting having previously worked in similar roles for Velcro UK Limited. This is Laura's first step into the property development market.
Laura has a passion for cooking and is continuously perfecting her Sunday Roast for the family. She enjoys spending quality time spoiling her God Children. She also enjoys hosting dinner parties, walking, hiking and wild camping at the weekends.
