Attorney-Conducted Workplace Investigations was founded by Amy Ahrendt, who has over twenty years of legal experience, primarily in the field of employment law. Amy has conducted investigations of sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation and other types of workplace misconduct, for both large and small employers. Most recently, Amy served for eight years as General Counsel and Vice-President/Human Resources at Massif, a developer of flame-resistant textiles and apparel. Among other responsibilities, she conducted internal investigations, mediated employee disputes, and provided legal advice on employment matters to the company's Executive Team. In her prior role as Associate General Counsel at Hunt-Wesson/ConAgra Foods, she spent a decade providing legal advice on employment matters to its corporate headquarters and 15 U.S. manufacturing and distribution facilities, conducting numerous investigations each year, as well as training human resources personnel on how to conduct effective internal investigations. She began her legal career at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker. "Amy is an excellent workplace investigator. I would recommend her services to any company dealing with a sexual harassment or other workplace complaint. She worked for our company for years, proving herself impartial and thorough. She accurately assesses a situation, plans and implements an appropriate investigation, seeks out the facts, reaches reasoned conclusions, and reports her findings so they can be understood by executive management. And she does it promptly, yet comprehensively, with minimal disruption to the workplace."
