I created a training program designed to prepare K-12 school principals and leadership teams to lead school-wide activities and discussions focused on the instructional and cultural changes needed to close the achievement gap. Increasing student learning requires teachers and principals to identify the root causes of student underperformance, determine the kinds of instructional practices that will address students' learning needs, and build and sustain structures (such as collaborative learning communities) that support the learning of both teachers and students.
