Cheryl Chamberlain

Cheryl created Chamberlain College Consulting in 2016 and serves students and their families throughout the country, concentrating in the Chicago area. Cheryl has a B.A. in Public Relations Independent Plan of Study from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, a J.D. with Honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law, and a College Counseling Certificate with Distinction from UCLA Extension. She received additional education in career counseling at UC-Berkeley Extension and specialized training in essay writing. Cheryl has volunteered throughout her life in civic and education-related matters including community leadership, volunteer teaching, mentoring, and serving on curriculum committees. She continues her volunteer work with Chicago Bound Opportunities and is an active member of IECA, serving on the Government Relations Committee. Cheryl enjoys works with all types of students, including high achievers, student-athletes, and transfers. After a career in business litigation, she now focuses on her true passion for empowering teens to define their own success through education. She guides students by developing and highlighting their strengths, enabling them to access and excel at best fit colleges.

Deidra Fisher

Deidra launched OneUp College Consulting in the summer of 2016 and serves students throughout Texas and the southeastern United States. She is a former high school English teacher at an International Baccalaureate school and holds a B.A. in English Literature and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Baylor University. Deidra previously worked as a management consultant and in graduate school recruiting and admissions for the Southern Methodist University (SMU) Simmons School of Education. She has also developed curriculum and programming for college prep classes through SMU's Continuing and Professional Education program and for a local test prep company in the Dallas area. She is a frequent speaker on "all things colleges" for numerous educational and philanthropic organizations.

Gail McNiece

Gail launched McNiece College Consulting in 2014, and holds degrees in Psychology, Business, and graduate coursework in Counseling. Gail launched McNiece College Consulting in 2014, through which she personally visits more than 25 colleges per year. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's degree in Business (Marketing), and has completed graduate coursework in Counseling. Prior to 2014, she worked in all facets of college admissions at institutions from small liberal arts colleges to large flagship universities. Her experiences ranged from Admissions Counselor to Director of Admissions, and throughout it all has gained an astute understanding of the behind-the-scenes enrollment process. Lauren Tropp

Lauren founded Tropp Educational Consulting in 2016 and works with students in all areas of Connecticut and throughout the United States. She holds an A.B. with honors in English and American Literature and Language from Harvard College and is a graduate of the Independent Educational Consultants Association Summer Training Institute. After serving as a research consultant for a public relations and communications service and volunteering as a reading tutor for elementary school students, a teacher of adult English Language Learners, and a mentor to high school students serving as role models for elementary school students in classroom settings, she decided to pursue her goal of working with families to reduce stress and provide transparency in the college admissions process. She provides pro bono college planning programs to a cohort of STEM students at a local nonprofit as well as offering in person and online college planning sessions open to the public. Lauren values the opportunity to work with students of all academic abilities and interests. Her expertise includes working with students with learning disabilities, twice exceptional students, and those reaching for the most selective universities. Her goal is to help students discover and better understand the wide array of colleges that can provide the opportunities and environment to enable their academic and personal success in college and beyond.

Nancy Ikenberry

Nancy launched Brightline Admissions in 2018 after completing her Certificate in College Counseling with Distinction from UCLA. Nancy earned a B.S. in Finance and an MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). She is a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA) and currently serves as president of the College Consultants of Colorado. She works with a range of students and has a special passion for helping students tell their unique stories so they stand out in the competitive admissions landscape.

Sharon Olofsson

Sharon works with students across a wide range of academic interests and has particular expertise in guiding students in applying to universities in the UK, Ireland, and Canada. She is a member of the New England Association for College Admission Counseling (NEACAC), and the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA). Sharon founded Gateway Educational Consulting in 2016 and works with students from the greater Boston area and around the world.

Tino Schuler

Tino is a professional member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) as well as a member of the Southern Association for College Admission Counseling (SACAC). Tino is also a member of the Board of Trustees at Knox College - his alma mater-where he chairs the Admissions & Financial Aid Committee and serves on the Campus Life & Athletics Committee. After serving 26 years in the medical technology industry at various corporations, most recently Medtronic in Jacksonville, Tino and his wife Silke embarked on a path to help our youth select the perfect college for them to succeed in the changing global marketplace. They were inspired to create Schuler Educational Consulting in part because of the success of the Schuler Scholar Program, a nonprofit that has supported, equipped, and helped gain access to college for over 2000 low income and first-generation college-bound students in the Chicago area.
