Andy Dropkin - Chief Investment Officer

Andy operates with the belief that trust, communication and superior customer service are the foundation of success at our firm. With a degree in finance and economics from the University of Texas at Austin, Andy began his career in the restaurant business at Brinker International, where he helped create and launch a new restaurant concept. He then joined an entrepreneurial start-up and, after earning his MBA from Southern Methodist University, worked in the private wealth management sector at Donaldson Lufkin Jenrette/Credit Suisse First Boston in New York and Dallas. He joined Waldman Bros in 2004 and was Scott Cohen's first hire at CD Wealth Management. Andy's broad range of experience allows him the vision and perspective to see the big picture from many different financial angles. Andy loves interacting with his clients and helping them achieve their lifetime goals. His deep knowledge, integrity and hardworking nature allows these relationships to prosper. Andy is dedicated to supporting his community; he is a past chairman of the board at the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation and the Southwest Community Foundation. Andy enjoys sports (especially golf), reading and word puzzles. He loves to spend time with his wife and two sons. Crystal LaFollette

With a background in both annuities and wealth management - and a variety of interests outside of finance - Crystal brings valuable experience to the CD Wealth Management team. She started her career as a Customer Service Representative and quickly became an Operations Specialist with ING in Des Moines, Iowa. Specializing in broker-dealer operations, Crystal was a nationwide customer service award winner and was recognized for her outstanding work on training modules and manuals. After she and her husband moved to Texas, Crystal worked as Operations Coordinator at Lincoln Financial Advisors in Dallas for three years. Then in the summer of 2017, an opportunity arose to join the team at CD Wealth Management. "I always said that if I ever go to the advisor side, it has to be the right office," she said. "It has to be people who put the client first, who care more about the client than they do about making money off the client. And that's exactly what I found here. With a background in both annuities and wealth management - and a variety of interests outside of finance - Crystal brings valuable experience to the CD Wealth Management team. She serves as an excellent resource to the team on industry updates and their impact on clients.

Ilona Friedman

As Chief Wealth Management Officer at CD Wealth Management, Ilona specializes in comprehensive financial planning with a focus on working with people whose lives are in transition, including divorcees, widows and widowers. She also excels in her work with matriarchs and patriarchs of multigenerational families to ensure that the transition of their wealth is built on a solid foundation and that their legacy is expertly protected for generations to come. Ilona started in the financial industry working for a global financial services firm and joined Waldman Bros in 2009. She has learned the business from the ground up and understands the entire process of financial planning and investment advisory services. She enjoys organizing clients financially to create a clear path forward so they are wholly educated about their decisions. Ilona sits on Kestra Financial's Women Empowerment Network Advisory Council, which seeks to empower the success of female financial professionals through a dedicated support network to share strengths, talents and experiences while fostering the advancement of women in financial services. She also sits on Kestra's Digital Platform Council. She serves as Advisory Council to the Southwest Community Foundation and sits on the Board of Trustees of the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation. Kelley Followwell

Kelley started her career with a foot in the door, taking a role as receptionist with Waldman Bros in 1996. Her career and her business relationship with Scott Cohen have been growing ever since. In her second year on the job, Kelley became an Account Manager in Waldman Bros' Life Insurance Department, working directly with Scott. Over the course of 18 years there, she rose to become Manager of the Life Insurance/Financial Services Department before leaving in July 2014 to join Scott as he started CD Wealth Management. "I'm proud of the work that I do and the way that it's done. Success is not about dollars. It's about making people happy." As Director of Client Service, Kelley oversees all aspects of CD Wealth Management's interactions with its clients, ensuring the best possible experience. She also is an Insurance Specialist, helping clients with marketing, underwriting and policy service for all insurance-related products (life, disability and long-term care). Additionally, Kelley works with Scott to build, implement and administer deferred-compensation plans - all while working as Scott's executive assistant. "We treat clients like family. I help every client as if they were my mother or my grandmother," she said. "That's why we have such long-lasting relationships. We help our clients like we would want our own family members treated." Kelley assists CD Wealth's clients with marketing, underwriting and policy service for all life, disability and long term care products. Kelley began her career with Waldman Bros in 1996 and has been working with Scott in the financial and insurance industry ever since.

Lucy Satterwhite

Lucy grew up in Houston and spent much of her youth traveling as a competitive figure skater; in her 16 years on the ice, she grew to appreciate the sport's lesson that "what you put in is what you get out." Lucy's mathematical mind and knack for numbers led her to study finance in college, and after graduation, she worked as a financial analyst for the nonprofit Baptist Church Lending Corp. She was driven to move into financial services and started that chapter of her career with positions at Fidelity Investments and Morgan Stanley before joining the team at CD Wealth Management. "I love how client-centric we are here. I love the fact that there are three advisors who can give attention to clients. … Everyone's so focused on serving every client as a top priority." In her work at CD Wealth, Lucy is focused on delivering best-in-class customer experience so clients know that their wealth - and their dreams - are in good hands. "I love that in financial services, every day is different, every call is different," she said. "Every client is different, too, and you are able to be helpful and productive through the work. Clients know that when they call, someone's always going to answer the phone. When they have questions, they are always going to get an answer from us, and that's something valuable that we offer." Lucy assists clients with all their service needs and trade requests. She has experience as a financial analyst in the nonprofit sector, and she has worked in financial services in the private sector as well. She is dedicated to delivering best-in-class service for every client she meets.

Margaret Walker - CHRO

With decades of experience in team leadership and employee benefits management, Margaret helps set a high standard for the company culture at CD Wealth Management, building programming that helps our colleagues bring out the best in one another. Originally from Louisiana, Margaret has managed benefits administration from both a high-level strategic perspective and a hands-on, tactical position. She is dedicated to developing team-building programs and offering coaching to colleagues to help them continue growing and learning. "I would say collaboration is the main focus of who we are as an organization, working together to give service that is above and beyond," she said. "I believe that if the employees are treated well, then certainly they are going to treat our clients well."
