Brian Hartpence

Brian Hartpence is the Chief Revenue Officer for Consortium Networks. As CRO, Hartpence is responsible for leading and developing the sales and account management team to meet revenue and customer acquisition objectives. He also focuses on building and further strengthening the company's partnerships and co-selling opportunities across the cybersecurity ecosystem. Brian has extensive experience in go-to-market strategies, building winning teams, and developing strong business partnerships. He believes in the mission of Consortium Networks - helping companies solve cybersecurity and cyber risk challenges while supporting the community. Hartpence brings over 20 years of experience spanning technology organizations in various high-growth stages across the globe. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Sales at Sotero, a leading next-generation data encryption provider. Prior to Sotero, he worked for Thales for six years, where he was responsible for all Data Protection sales located in the United States & Canada.

Dr. Melissa K. Griffith is a Lecturer in Technology and National Security at Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies' (SAIS) Alperovitch Institute for Cybersecurity Studies as well as a Non-Resident Research Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley's Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity (CLTC). She works at the intersection between technology and national security with a specialization in cybersecurity, semiconductors, and 5G networks with a focus on national risk and resilience models. Griffith's book project investigates how relatively small countries, with limited resources, have become significant providers of national cyber-defense for their populations. Her work sheds important light on the components and dynamics of cyber power and cyber conflict, as well as the vital role that public-private cooperation and both security and economic policy play in cyber-defense. Concurrent research projects examine (1) the security implications of 5G; (2) collective defense and resilience in cyberspace; (3) emerging technologies and great power competition; and (4) power and smaller states in international politics. Griffith holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley (2020); an M.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley (2014); and a B.A. in International Relations from Agnes Scott College (2011). She was an English Teaching Assistant with the Fulbright Program from 2012-2013..

Frank Scholl

Frank Scholl is the Chief Product Officer for Consortium Networks. Before Consortium, he leveraged his life-long passion for automation by contributing to Phantom's codebase and strategic direction and leading the global cyber threat intelligence team at TD Bank. Frank has a Computer Science degree from Bloomsburg University and lives near Philadelphia.

LARRY PFEIFER - Founder

With over 26 years of experience in IT and cybersecurity, Larry Pfeifer is recognized as a leader in helping people and organizations to solve their IT and security-related issues. As a proud New Jersey native, Larry joined the Navy in 1993 and started a career in IT. After serving his country, he held positions at Widener University, Nortel, Philadelphia Stock Exchange, BlueCoat Systems, and CrowdStrike. Working as an end-user, manager, engineer, sales engineer, account manager, and sales manager has given Larry a 360-degree view of all sides of IT. Larry started Consortium with one goal-helping people. His altruistic views came from organizing a feeding the homeless program in Camden, NJ. From there, he founded Consortium Networks as an avenue to continue to help its members, partners and others. Larry resides in southern New Jersey and is active in his community, charities and family.

MIKE KENNEY - CTO

Mike is the Chief Technology Officer and leads the services team at Consortium Networks, a cybersecurity company dedicated to helping our members understand their cybersecurity risk and make the best decisions for their specific needs. Prior to joining Consortium, Mike was the Chief of Staff at New York City Cyber Command, an organization he helped found, responsible for centralizing authority and accountability for cybersecurity across New York City's government-an enterprise employing more than 350,000 people with over 500,000 endpoints distributed across more than 100 different City agencies. Mike helped build a cloud first strategy for the City's cyber defenders, implemented an internal cyber audit and compliance program, and created a cybersecurity spend review process to make sure that the City appropriately prioritized where to spend its next cybersecurity dollar. He also represented the City's cybersecurity efforts in due diligence meetings ahead of the City's issuance of municipal bonds. Before New York City Cyber Command, Mike worked at the Mayor's Office of Management and Budget, focused on aligning policy priorities to sources of funding.

T. RYAN KENNEDY - COO

Ryan Kennedy serves as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Consortium Networks where he focuses on building out the company's Operations, Business, and People strategies. Previously, as Director of Strategy at Thomson Reuters Special Services (TRSS), Ryan was responsible for developing the firm's growth strategy, building the team and infrastructure, and delivering a lasting culture and leadership development program. From 2006-2013, Ryan served at the FBI, where he was responsible for designing and implementing the FBI's enterprise strategic management system. During this time, Ryan was a major architect of the Bureau-wide effort to improve and transform its intelligence processes and capabilities, both nationally and locally within 56 field offices, impacting everything from cyber operations to criminal investigations to better performance management. Ryan holds a B.A. in English from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. from Boston College. Ryan received the Director's Award for Intelligence Analysis (2009) for his leadership in moving the FBI toward an intelligence-driven organization. Although a Boston-area native, Ryan now calls Alexandria, VA home where he lives with his wife and two sons.

TIM MURPHY - CEO, President

Mr. Murphy is President and CEO of Consortium Networks, a Cyber Security and Networking company, recently recognized by CIO Review as one the most promising enterprise security solution providers. Mr. Murphy leads the strategic direction, business operations and cybersecurity solution development and client services. Prior to Consortium Networks, Tim was the President of Thomson Reuters Special Services (TRSS) where he continues to serve as Chairman of the Board. As a Special Agent and Executive in the FBI, Tim held a number of operational positions across the nation investigating matters from counterterrorism to cyber and organized crime, even serving as an FBI pilot. He served in various management roles as well including as a Special Assistant to the FBI Director, Special Agent in Charge of the Cincinnati Field Office, the Bureau's Chief Financial Officer, and as its Chief Operating Officer before rising to the level of Deputy Director of the FBI. Tim was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Public Services and is frequently consulted for his expertise in global cyber, counterterrorism, intelligence, criminal, security, and business issues. In addition to his service on the board for TRSS, he also serves on the Western Union Board of Directors as the Chair of the Compliance Committee, the Ferris State University Foundation Board of Directors were he serves as Chair, Genius Group Board of Directors and as an advisor to Glilot Capital.
