Amber Montgomery

Amber has worked for the Prince William County School (PWCS) Division for almost 20 years. She holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master of Science in Psychology, with a certification in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University. She earned the highest GPA in her undergraduate degree program. Amber is currently the Chair for the Superintendents Administrative Support Advisory Council for PWCS and is also a facilitator in Core Strengths, which teaches departments, businesses, and organizations relationship intelligence. She is a member of the Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology, the Society for Human Resource Management and the National Honor Society for Leadership and Success. Amber has previously held positions on the Board of Directors for the Main Street Child Development Center, a non-profit preschool in Fairfax, VA. She lives in Rappahannock County with her husband, a retired Prince William County police officer and have four grown (almost - the youngest is 16) children. She values the importance of mental health in every facet of the work she does on a daily basis and especially sees the need for children to have access to mental health programs during the crucial developmental years.

Bridget Downey

Bridget Downey joined the Mental Health Association of Fauquier County in August 2021 to offer administrative and programmatic support and quickly took on the role of Programs & Events Manager. She is a Fauquier County native and brings over 10 years of experience in the arts and education field, including in student services at Northern Virginia Community College and Marymount University. Bridget holds a master's in library and information science from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Arts from State University of New York at Albany. She is a certified archivist, Youth Mental Health First Aid instructor, and 2023 graduate of Leadership Fauquier.

Cassin Bertke

Cassin Bertke has lived and worked in Fauquier County for over two decades. After graduating from Swarthmore College with a B.A. in Mathematics, she taught at public schools in New York City and London. She spent four years working at Foxcroft School while pursuing her M.Ed. from University of Virginia. In 1999, she started at Highland School, where she has served in a variety of roles, including her current position as the Assistant Head of School. She is excited to begin serving a larger community and hopes to support people's mental health through education and awareness. When she's not working, Cassin enjoys taking long walks with her partner Rocky Westfall and their two dogs.

Christine Craddock

Christine Craddock joins us to serve as the Communications and Outreach Manager. She is a Haymarket resident with experience in writing, editing, and communications in the nonprofit sector. Christine holds a Bachelor's degree in English from St. Mary's College of Maryland. Christine resides in Haymarket with her husband, two children, and two dogs.

Diana Chalmeta

Dr. Chalmeta was born in Madrid, Spain and moved to the United States at age 4. She grew up in Annandale and attended the University of Virginia where she majored in Biology with a minor in Religious Studies. She then went to the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond for medical school and residency. She completed a dual residency in Pediatric and Internal Medicine. Dr. Chalmeta moved to Warrenton in 1999 to join Piedmont Pediatrics. She often precepts students of all kinds to generate interest in medicine and to help aspiring clinicians meet their career goals. She has been honored as one of Washingtonian magazine's Top Doctors in 2010 and 2014. She has received honorable mention for Best Pediatrician in Warrenton Lifestyle magazine in 2011 and 2012. Dr. Chalmeta has three children who attended school in both public and private schools in Warrenton. She has served as Co-chair and then Chair of the Department of Medicine at Fauquier Hospital as well has been on the Chair of the Peer Review Committee. Dr. Chalmeta volunteers her time regularly at the Fauquier Free Clinic, where her husband is the director. She is also responsible for volunteer physician recruitment and scheduling.

Dona Rodgers

Dona Rodgers is the proud mother of a son, Austin, and twin daughters, Aberle and Morgan. She grew up in Greenwich CT, attended James Madison University where she earned a B.S. in Psychology and met her husband Kurt. They have lived in Fauquier County for the last 26 years. Early in her career, she worked for the George H.W. Bush 1988 Election Campaign and his Inaugural Committee, which parlayed into working for an Alexandria, Virginia-based Political Financial Consulting Firm. She had the honor and very fortunate opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom for several years before developing and managing The Retreat at Eastwood, a special events venue here in Warrenton. Currently, she is co-founder and president of Morgan's Message, Inc., a nonprofit organization created in July 2020 after losing her daughter Morgan to mental illness. It is her mission to increase awareness, reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, and insist that mental health be treated equally to physical health among high school and college student-athletes.

Dr. Katrina White

Dr. Katrina White is a board certified Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience. She is the founder of Apple Psychiatric Services, LLC. Her specialties include Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP) and Family Practice (FNP), as well as the treatment of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and addiction. White initially earned a Masters of Science Degree in nursing as a family nurse practitioner from George Mason University, in association with George Washington University in 2012. After graduating, she worked various emergency departments in Northern Virginia. Next, she transitioned to a position as a provider in a family practice, while working as a medical examiner for the Commonwealth of Virginia. It was at that time she realized that she wanted to work in prevention of mental health disorders. White completed her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at George Mason University in 2020, followed by her Doctorate in 2021. She is credentialed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. She resides in Warrenton with her husband and 2 children.

Greg Bengston

Greg is a healthcare executive who currently serves as executive vice president and COO of Fairfax Neonatal Associates (FNA), a fifty provider multi-specialty pediatric group located in Fairfax. Prior to joining FNA in 2016, Greg served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Fauquier Health System. Greg and his wife, Carol, and daughters Amanda and Leah have lived in Fauquier County for twenty years. Greg has served on several local boards and community groups including the Fauquier Free Clinic, where he chairs the strategic planning committee and Medicaid expansion committee. Greg has a strong interest in helping to provide access to healthcare services to the underserved and looks forward to working with the MHAFC Board to provide enhanced mental health access to all area residents. Greg holds a graduate degree in Healthcare Management from Marymount University.

Jessica Ashby

With over 23 years of experience in the financial services industry, Jessica has spent the last 14 years as a financial advisor. She started her career at a local community bank, fresh out of high school as a part-time teller, working and putting herself through college. Jessica graduated with a B.S. from Old Dominion University in business administration, and became a financial advisor in 2008. She is now a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones in Warrenton.

Joy Willey - President

Joy Willey has lived in Fauquier County for the past decade. One of the first places she volunteered in the community was the Fauquier Free Clinic, where she served six years on the Board of Directors including two years as President. Joy's extensive nonprofit experience includes serving as a PATH Foundation Grants Committee Member, the Director of Advancement for Highland School in Warrenton, and the Vice President and Treasurer for the Woolly Mammoth Theater in Washington, D.C. Joy's business background includes twelve years with Capital One Bank including Vice President roles in operations, real estate and human resources. Joy serves on the Mental Health Association's Board of Directors because she has "…seen the benefits of integrated mental health services through the free clinic and want to help to make that possible for our entire community." Joy has a B.A. from Bowdoin College and an Executive MBA from The Darden School.

Regina Moore - Treasurer

Regina has been serving as the Treasurer for the Mental Health Association's Board of Directors since 2015. While her primary role on the board involves maintaining financial records, she joined the board because she believes that mental health awareness is important to everyone, and that being part of a group that makes a difference is important. She currently works as a CPA for Scheulen, Patchett & Edwards, PC in Warrenton. In her free time, Regina actively volunteers at her local church.

Renee Norden

Renee Norden joined the Mental Health Association of Fauquier as Executive Director in November 2020. Prior to this, she held the position of Director for Guidance and College Counseling at Highland School in Warrenton for 14 years, providing counseling to students, families and staff, and coordinating care for students with mental health providers. While at Highland, she has also served on the Mental Health School Coalition, working with other community stakeholders to address youth mental health concerns. Renee also has been instructing Youth Mental Health First Aid since 2015. Renee holds a degree in psychology from William and Mary and a master's of education in counseling from the University of Virginia. She and her husband, David, live in Old Town Warrenton. Their two daughters are currently in college.

Rick Laimbeer

Rick is the Executive VP for VFI Corporate Finance, a multimillion-dollar Asset Backed Lender headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. Rick started with the company at its formation in 2001. He holds a degree in economics from Ohio Wesleyan University and has spent his entire professional life in the financial services industry. Rick and his wife Alice live in Rappahannock County and have raised two outstanding children. Their son Parker, with a PHD in molecular biology, works as a scientist for the Food and Drug Administration. Their daughter Margot, holds two masters' in nursing, works as a psychiatric nurse practitioner at Inova Hospital in Fairfax. Rick has held leadership roles in several local organizations including Master of Foxhounds of the Warrenton Hunt from 2008 to 2018, and he currently sits on the board of the Fauquier Club. Rick and his wife Alice's philanthropic pursuits center around providing financial assistance for education, cultural interaction, and wildlife conservation in a remote and underserved part of Kenya. Since 2007, Rick and Alice have been leading a program whereby Highland School students and their families travel to Kenya, work at supported schools and interact with the Kenyan Students at those schools. Having experienced his own challenges with mental health, Rick is passionate about providing assistance for those suffering from mental illness.

Tenne Wordsworth - VP

Tenne Wordsworth is the owner of reEmerge Psychotherapy located in Warrenton, Virginia. She is an Army Veteran and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She loves working with adults, couples, parents and school-aged children with behavioral, emotional and social challenges. Through Play Therapy, Adult Therapy, Teen Therapy, Couples Therapy, and a more balanced approach of parenting, clients truly heal the source of their wounds and experience anew being free of emotional suffering. When she is not working with other families, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling and listening to YouTube.

Will Ashwell

Will is an attorney with Ashwell & Ashwell, PLLC. He practices in the areas of civil litigation, land use and zoning, appellate advocacy, business and commercial law, and trust and estate planning. Mr. Ashwell is admitted to practice in Virginia and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the Supreme Court of the United States of America. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar and Fauquier Bar Association and serves on the Virginia State Bar Seventh District Disciplinary Committee. Mr. Ashwell earned his B.A. degree from Hampden-Sydney College and his J.D. degree from the University of Dayton School of Law. He lives in Warrenton with his wife and three daughters.
