Brian Abercrombie began his banking career in 2003. Prior to banking, Brian worked in Public Accounting and Manufacturing between 1998 and 2003. During his banking career, Brian has held the positions of Treasurer, Director of Finance, Controller, Chief Accounting Officer, and Chief Financial Officer.
Brian earned a Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting from Kennesaw State University in 1998 and completed the requirements of a diploma from the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University in 2008.

Eric Shields began his banking career in 1993. During his banking career, Eric has served in key leadership roles within the areas of Credit and Loan Administration.
Eric earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Georgia in 1993 and completed the requirements of a diploma from the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University in 2002.

Gary Middleton's career in banking spans over 40 years during which time he has demonstrated his ability to drive growth, enhance customer service, and implement and execute strategic initiatives by occupying various leadership roles. He joined First National Community Bank in 2014 and serves as the bank's Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer, as well as President of the bank's Dalton, Chatsworth, and Eton markets.
Middleton is a graduate of the Georgia Banking School (Athens, Georgia) and The School of Bank Administration; Community Bank Management (Madison, Wisconsin). He also holds the designation of Certified Professional Financial Planner.
He presently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Hamilton Healthcare System and The Anna Shaw Children's Institute as well as the Board of the Whitfield County Education Foundation and has held various other community leadership roles within the northwest Georgia footprint, including board-level memberships of the Murray Medical Center, Boys & Girls Club, American Red Cross, Dalton College Foundation, and the Whitfield County Board of Education.

A northwest Georgia community banking veteran, Ryan Earnest's banking career began in 1995. He was elected as Heritage First Bank's President in May of 2008. In December of 2017, Earnest was named as Heritage First Bank's Chief Executive Officer and in March of 2019, he was named Chief Executive Officer of Heritage First Bancshares, Inc. Earnest has been a member of the Board of Directors of Heritage First Bank since May of 2008 and served on the Heritage First Bancshares, Inc. Board of Directors. He was named President and CEO of First Chatsworth Bankshares, Inc. and First National Community Bank in July of 2021 upon completion of the First National Community Bank and Heritage First Bank Merger.
Earnest earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from West Georgia College in 1990 and completed the requirements of a diploma from the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University in 2008. Ryan Earnest is a firm believer in giving back to the community. He is the current Chairman of the Development Authority of Floyd County and immediate past Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Rome/Floyd County YMCA. Additionally, he presently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University, the Board of Directors for the Georgia Bankers Association Insurance Trust, Inc. and the Rome/Floyd Chamber of Commerce, respectively. He is the former Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Floyd Healthcare Foundation and South Rome Redevelopment Corporation and is a former Board of Directors member of the Seven Hills Rotary Club. Earnest also served on the Rome/Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth Board of Directors, having served two separate terms as President during his 20-year membership. During Ryan's tenure as president, Heritage First Bank was awarded the prestigious "Heart of the Community" Corporate Award in 2016.

Vicki Knight - Chief Compliance Officer

Vicki Knight is a native of Rome, Georgia, where she began her banking career in 1973. Knight has served in key leadership roles, including Compliance Officer Retail Lending Manager, Human Resources Director and Chief Risk Officer. She continues to serve as the Bank's Chief Compliance Officer, Bank Secrecy Act Officer and Community Reinvestment Act Officer, respectively.
Knight earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Shorter College and is a graduate of the American Bankers Association Compliance School.
Knight serves the community with a wide breadth of involvement, including service as past Chairperson and an active member of the Board of Directors of The Open Door Children's Home since 2010. Presently, she serves as Treasurer and on the Board of Trustees of Morrison's Campground. She is a past board member of the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce, served as Chapter Chairman of the American Red Cross from 2001 - 2003, Mentor and board member of the Communities in Schools from 2000 - 2001 and served on the Board of Trustees of the United Way of Rome & Floyd County from 1990 - 1996. Knight is a recipient of the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce's 1994 Woman of Excellence and Wesley Johnson Award for Community Service.
