Knowledge in Development Inc. is a registered Ontario corporation based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. In March 2011, Knowledge in Development became a client of the Accelerator Centre (AC), a world-renowned centre for the cultivation of technology entrepreneurship located in the David Johnston Research + Technology Park at the University of Waterloo. With the help of the AC and Communitech, VentureStart funding to support the development of the Language Use Inventory online platform was secured from the Research Innovation Commercialization (RIC) Centre supported by the Ministry of Economic Development & Innovation... The Language Use Inventory is a standardized parent-report questionnaire for assessing pragmatic language development in children 18 to 47 months of age... In 2008, Knowledge in Development (KID) Inc. was founded by Daniela O'Neill to publish and distribute the Language Use Inventory (LUI) to professionals and researchers.
