Brennan is the founder of the Engineering division of Marks Engineering. He started the business in 2014 after many years of experience in the construction and engineering industries. Prior to founding Marks Engineering, Brennan worked for the DiMarco Companies in both estimating and project management capacities. Brennan also has experience working for other Engineering firms including Clark Patterson Lee and Dunn & Sgromo Engineers. Brennan specializes in Civil and Environmental engineering. He graduated with an Associates Degree in Engineering Science from Alfred State prior to graduating with an Environmental Engineering Bachelor's degree from SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) in 2008. He became a licensed Professional Engineer in 2013. Brennan has the unique experience of having grown up in the construction industry working with his father's general contracting business for years before graduating college with an engineering degree. Not only can he draw sites and structures, but he also understands what is needed to build it. Brennan has excellent relationships with many local contractors and architects. Brennan's specialties include: Site plans Grading Erosion and sediment control Stormwater compliance Designing septic systems City/Town/County/DEC/DOH permit and application processes Working with lake properties Municipal projects Small to medium sized commercial projects Green/sustainable building practices In his free time, Brennan enjoys hanging out with his family (wife Stephanie, son Finley, daughter Reagan, son Declan) and their pets. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, fishing, and conservation.

• Senior Survey Technician

Brian is our Senior Survey Technician here at Marks Engineering. He started off as a young 20-year-old with a small survey company in Farmington and fell in love with surveying. After bouncing between a few land-survey and civil engineering companies for 33 years he ended up here at Marks Engineering in late 2017. He heads up most of the fieldwork for our survey and engineering jobs. Whether small city lots or large rural ones you will find Brian out in the field winter, spring, summer or fall. When not traipsing around the swamps, woods, or city streets he is a family man. Camping, kayaking, and hiking with his wife, kids and grandchild is where you will find Brian. An active member of the United Church of Phelps and being mayor of the Village of Phelps since 2015 keeps him plenty busy in his spare time.

Jessica is one of our newest team members at Marks Engineering having joined us in October of 2021. She grew up in West Walworth and currently resides in Clifton Springs with her family which includes a son, two daughters and three pets. Jessica has worked for a few small businesses in the area and is excited to put her admin skills and love of numbers to good use within the company. Jessica's specialties are: Customer service Communications File organization Billing & Invoicing Payroll Employee training Office coordination She loves to craft and spends a lot of her free time volunteering for Scouts (a lot). Jessica is a Girl Scout Troop Leader and helps to oversee all of the Girl Scout troops within two school districts. She also helps with cookies. She's trained in archery and tomahawks (and first aid) and is lucky to have a group of girls who love to camp as much as she does.

Jonathan joined Marks Engineering in the summer of 2021. A graduate of Clarkson University, he has 5 years of experience with a diverse background designing a variety of engineering projects. Before joining the Marks Engineering team, he worked for BME Associates. Jon grew up in the Sodus Bay area and presently resides in Australia. He is an engineering intern (EIT) currently studying for his Professional Engineer Licensure and is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

• Land Survey Technician

Josh moved to New York in 2008 after growing up in Virginia Beach where he spent much of his time farming with his father. He worked for a chemical company for 8 years and transitioned to the NYSDOT for 3 years before joining Marks Engineering in 2021. Josh enjoys the outdoors, which complements his role as a survey technician. He loves spending time with his wife and three children, and is an avid horticulturist, constantly expanding his gardens.

Keith's academic background includes a high school diploma from Marcus Whitman class of 2006, a Bachelor's in Biology and Geology from Hobart College class of 2010, and an associate's degree in land surveying from SUNY ESF Ranger School class of 2017 where he was class Salutatorian. He's been a member of the NYSAPLS Young Professionals Committee since 2016.

Lindsey is the Project & Marketing Coordinator at Marks Engineering. She joined the team in 2017 as the Administrative Manager. Before joining the team in 2017, she worked for the Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center in Auburn, NY as the Program Coordinator from 2011- 2013 and as the Administrative Coordinator until 2017. Lindsey has an extensive background in customer service and information management. She graduated from Syracuse University in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in Visual Art. As Project & Marketing Coordinator, Lindsey's specialties include: Client focus & communication Information management Scheduling Proposals Project tracking & progress Municipal & NYS application process & correspondence Landscape rendering Digital marketing & advertisement coordination Website maintenance Social Media In her free-time, Lindsey enjoys making memories with her family (husband Will and daughters Lily & Rosemary), drawing/painting, playing the guitar, gardening, yard-work, reading, traveling, and spending time with her friends.

Mike joined Marks Engineering in 2017. He is one of our Engineers and our resident IT Manager. Mike does so much behind the scenes at the office to make things run smoothly and efficiently day in and day out. He is a graduate of SUNY Oswego with a BFA in Graphic Design. He has over 7 years of residential/commercial media & technology installation experience including home theaters, stereo systems, network setup, PC setup & repair, and appliance & TV repair.

Stephanie Marks recently joined Marks Engineering after 15 years in corporate finance to help her husband Brennan manage Marks Engineering. Stephanie specialized in Financial Planning and Analysis for major corporations in industries such as Banking, Health Insurance, Beverage Alcohol and Technology. In her career progression she learned how to manage an organization through her cross functional experience with Operations, Marketing, Accounting and Human Resources departments. Stephanie takes most of our incoming consultation calls and serves as head of customer service. She also focuses on creating operational efficiencies, managing staff, HR duties such as recruiting, handling the finances, and most importantly, serving as Brennan's "handler." Stephanie studied Policy Analysis and Management at Cornell, and received her Masters in Business Administration with a Finance concentration from RIT Saunders College of Busines In her free time, you can find Steph dreaming up ways of sharing her love of the FLX wine industry with the community, including building her brand The Vino Valet. She has three young children with Brennan (son Finley, daughter Reagan and son Declan), and you can often find her on the sidelines of her children's extracurriculars. She is a self-proclaimed "crazy animal person" and enjoys snuggling with her dogs Boots and Rex, and her cat Florence.
