National Waqf Development Corporation Limited (NAWADCO) was established as a Company registered under the Companies Act 1956 by the Government of India, Ministry of Minority Affairs, with the specific mandate to develop Waqf properties in Urban and Rural India to enhance the revenue capacity of State Waqf Boards/ Waqf Institutions through mobilization of internal and external resources for a pious and charitable cause... As per high level committee, India has the largest Waqf Lands in the world i.e. more than six (6) Lakhs Acre. Most of these Waqf lands/ properties are situated at prime urban locations and have the potential of generating substantial annual income for State Waqf Boards (SWBs)/ Institutions for using the same for socio-economic and educational empowerment of the Muslim community.
