Gary Lee - Secretary

Gary Lee was appointed Executive Advisor & Corporate Secretary in January 2014 and has been a director of North West Refining since its inception in 2004. Gary is a Partner and Co-founder of North West Capital where he was part of the founding team that started the Sturgeon Refinery in 2004. Gary was a practicing lawyer from 1981 until his resignation in 1999. During this period, he was the chief legal counsel to several national and international companies in connection with numerous commercial transactions. Gary's law practice was primarily focused in the areas of corporate finance (equity, debt and project financings), partnerships and joint ventures, and acquisitions and dispositions. Since leaving the practice of law, Gary has co-founded several ventures in the energy industry as a principal with North West Capital and related companies. Gary holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree and a law degree (J.D.) from Brigham Young University.

Ian MacGregor has been Chairman of the Board of North West Refining since its inception in 2004 and was appointed President & Chief Executive Officer in January 2014. Ian serves as a member of both the North West Redwater Partnership Executive Leadership Committee and Management Committee. Ian has been involved in most aspects of the Sturgeon Refinery's design, corporate structure, financing and construction. Ian is a Partner and Co-founder of North West Capital where he founded the Sturgeon Refinery and Enhance Energy. He has spent his career starting and running technical businesses in every area of the energy industry. Ian's specialty is starting from scratch, usually with a novel idea or at the least, with a different approach and having the tenacity to operationalize it and make it a success. Ian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary.

Jamie Storrow

Jamie Storrow is co-head of Northleaf Capital Partners' infrastructure investment program and a member of Northleaf's Management Committee. He has primary responsibility for infrastructure transaction origination, investment due diligence and asset management. Prior to joining Northleaf in 2010, Jamie was a Senior Vice President with the Macquarie Group, a leading global infrastructure investment, fund management and advisory firm, where he was directly involved in acquisitions, divestitures, asset management and capital raising. Previously, Jamie worked in London, UK with Scotia Capital and Morgan Stanley where he specialized in the principal acquisition, financing and securitization of assets across a range of sectors, with a focus on the aerospace industry. Jamie received a B.A. degree in Economics from The University of Western Ontario and an M.Sc. in Economics from the University of London. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Larry Vadori - COO, EVP

Larry Vadori is Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of North West Refining and is a member of the North West Redwater Partnership Management Committee. As Senior Vice President Operations and Development for the North West Redwater Partnership Larry has been leading the Sturgeon Refinery Operations organization. Prior to joining North West Refining in 2009, Larry held various management roles during his 30 years with Shell Canada, including leading the Shell Canada Scotford refinery complex as the site General Manager, and supporting the startup of the Athabasca Oil Sands Project and the front end development of the phase one expansion as General Manager Oil Sands Growth and Technology. Larry holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Windsor.

Stuart Primrose - CFO

Stuart Primrose is North West Refining's Chief Financial Officer. He joined North West Refining as Vice President in January 2014 to support the company with corporate finance and business development initiatives. Stuart is a Partner in North West Capital where he is responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence, and investment execution for private equity investments, as well as business development activities. Previously, Stuart worked as an investment banking analyst at RBC Capital Markets where he focused on equity and M&A transactions in the energy sector. Stuart has been involved with advising North West Refining in various capacities since 2007. Stuart holds an Honors Bachelor of Commerce degree (First Class Honors) from the University of Alberta.

Thomas Ebbern

Thomas Ebbern serves as an Executive Strategic Advisor for North West Refining. Tom was previously the Chief Financial Officer and a member of the North West Redwater Partnership Management Committee.

Tyson Birchall

Tyson Birchall is the Vice-President & Principal of Longbow Capital. Prior to joining Longbow in January 2009, Tyson was Vice-President, Investment Banking at Tristone Capital Inc., a global energy specialist investment bank. While at Tristone, Tyson was directly involved in the execution of advisory mandates with total value exceeding $10 billion relating to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, corporate restructurings, fairness opinions and equity financing transactions exclusively in the Canadian and international oil and gas industry. Tyson is a CFA charter holder and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) degree from Acadia University where he graduated as a member of the Dean's List and as a University Scholar. Tyson has completed the Canadian Securities Course and Partners, Directors and Senior Officers Course through the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI).
