OAW

The Office of Animal Welfare (OAW) is a compliance unit within the Office of Research providing support to the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), as well as to researchers and educators who use live vertebrate animals and cephalopods as part of their program... The OAW facilitates the review of research protocols and grants involving live vertebrate animals and cephalopods. In addition, OAW provides oversight and compliance on behalf of the IACUC in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations.
