RUSSELL ANGUS FARM

The first generation of the Russell Angus operation began with Lee Russell and son Larry in the mid-70's with purchase of registered cows carefully selected from herds in the Midwest. The foundation of that herd was AI bulls from the ABS stud services. A back up bull was purchased and won Senior Reserve Champion of the 1977 Missouri State Fair. The military called Larry to service so the entire cattle operation was dispersed... Build on a foundation of herd sires from ABS stud services, Russell Angus Farms now produces quality registered Angus cattle in an aggressive AI program. Each animal is DNA tested to insure accuracy of bloodlines and to select traits that improve the quality of the herd.
