Amy Martin comes to TCBA from the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry where she served as Associate Vice President of Environment and Energy. In this role she led the Chamber¹s legislative and policy initiatives in the areas of environment and energy.
Prior to joining the Tennessee Chamber, she worked at the Tennessee Valley Authority as the Government Relations Manager in Middle Tennessee. In this capacity she worked day-to-day with state and local officials as well as the district congressional offices on numerous energy, environment and economic development issues.
She was formerly appointed by the White House to serve as Policy Advisor to the Federal Co-Chair of the Appalachian Regional Commission. During her tenure, she was responsible for the development of policy initiatives and matters affecting the Commissioner in the area of rural economic and community development. She previously served as the Legislative Liaison for the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance. In this role, she advised the Department's Commissioner on legislative matters and maintained the Department's relationship with the Tennessee General Assembly and the Governor's Office of Legislative Affairs.
Martin currently serves on the Habitat for Humanity of Tennessee Board of Directors, Hands On Nashville Board, Citizens' Committee for the Tennessee Prayer Breakfast, chairs the St. Jude Fork & Cork dinner, and previously served on the Carson Newman College Alumni Board. She is a 2014 graduate of Leadership Middle Tennessee and a graduate of the 2008 TVA/Vanderbilt Leadership and Management for Accelerated Performance Class. She is a graduate of Carson-Newman College where she earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science. Martin is a native of Elizabethton and now resides in Franklin with her husband, Cory and their two children.

John Farris obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration degree (1980) and his Juris Doctor degree (1983) from the University of Memphis, and his Master of Laws in Taxation (1984) from Frederic G. Levin College of Law at the University of Florida. Farris was a Delinquent Tax Attorney for Shelby County from 1988 to 1990, member of the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission from 1994 to 1995, and a member of the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Workers' Compensation Insurance Trust Fund from 1992 to 1995. He served on the Tennessee Board of Regents and University of Memphis Board of Visitors from 2008-2014. He currently serves on the Southwest Tennessee Community College Foundation's Board of Trustees and is Chairman of the Riverfront Development Corporation Board of Directors. He is a member of the Memphis and Tennessee Bar Associations, and the Florida Bar. He is a fellow of the Memphis and Shelby County Bar Foundation. Farris has published legal articles and conducted seminars dealing with legal and ethical rules in lobbying state and local officials, and is a member of the TN Lobbyist Association. He has been listed in Who's Who in American Law (1996) and has been recognized by his peers in being listed in the Best Lawyers in America - Government Relations (2008-Present). Farris has represented the cable industry for over 20 years.
