Short Bio: Aracely Núñez, Senior Partner, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Principal Strategist at Turning Point Coaching, LLC is a Certified Business Process Reengineering Practitioner guides the firm's focus. Turning Point Coaching's specialty is aligning businesses and organization leadership, management and processes for improved efficiency and effectiveness, maximizing time, money and effort. To that end, Ms. Núñez uses her education, specialty training and experience in organizational design, leadership, strategic and business planning, financial management, with consistently favorable outcomes to guide the firm's focus. She leverages her keen insight of Business Process Reengineering, Lean Six Sigma, Project Management, and workforce productivity specialization to increase client's operational efficiencies and overall performance. Ms. Núñez joined Turning Point Coaching following her retirement from the Federal Government as a member of the Senior Executive Service (SES) with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Her primary responsibilities included business operational support services, managing day-to-day business operations (Human Resources, Information Technology, Budgeting, Acquisition and Planning, Continuity of Operations and Facilities/Space Management) over a 26-year period. Before joining the Federal Government, Ms. Núñez served 10 years as senior accountant, in the private sector, charged with ensuring accuracy and timeliness of company's financial statements, delegating financial responsibilities to accounting team and assisting the CFO with audit responses and preparation. Ms. Núñez educational background includes a Master's of Science, Human Resources, University of Maryland University College, College Park, MD and a Bachelors of Business Administration, Accounting, Pace University, New York, NY; augmented with Certifications and Selected Training to include Federal Executive Institute - Leadership for a Democratic Society; Certified Business Process Reengineering Practitioner; Certified Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Practitioner, Graduate School USDA Master Facilitator Certificate Program; Stephen Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People Facilitator. Short Bio: Derk R. Mattocks, Senior Partner, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Principal Coach at Turning Point Coaching, LLC is a licensed certified advanced professional business coach (LCAPBC) and manages' day-to-day-operations. Derk R. Mattocks is Senior Partner, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Principal Coach at Turning Point Coaching, LLC (TPC). Derk is a licensed certified advanced professional business coach (LCAPBC) and a licensed certified master life coach (LCMLC). He is performance driven and outcome focused in managing the company's long-term planning and day-to-day-operations. Prior to joining Turning Point Coaching, Derk worked as a leadership and management consultant for 25 years with the U.S. Army Community and Family Support Centre (CFSC) Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) programs. He served 16 of his 25 years as Senior Instructor and Business Advisor at the CFSC Headquarters, MWR Business Management and Program Academy. Prior to his USACFSC headquarters assignment, Derk served nine of his 25 years as Team Chief, Management Analysis and Technical Assistance (MATA) Team in USACFSC's European Regional Office (ERO), Frankfurt, Germany. Derk travelled extensively, during his 25-year government career, to locations throughout the United States, Europe, the Pacific Rim, the Middle East, and parts of Africa, coaching, training and advising over 3,500 (military & civilian) senior leaders, managers and program operators on strategic and business planning, financial management and analysis, and professional development and contract management, charged with setting up and managing MWR (hotels, restaurants, clubs, golf courses, bowling centres, child care centres, arts & recreation centres, and rod & gun clubs) businesses and programs operations, ensuring that those in uniform, who served anywhere and everywhere, received the same quality of service they are so willing to defend for our homeland. Following his retirement from the U.S. Army Community and Family Support Centre, Derk took on the great opportunity as Adjunct Professor of business studies with Prince George's Community College where he taught for eight years, February 2009 - November 2017. Prior to Derk's career with USACFSC, he served as General Manager, Hotel, Food & Beverage, and Entertainment operations (Sheratons Hotels, Ramada Inns, Inc. and Holiday Inns, Inc.) in the United States; Barbados, West Indies; and Lagos, Nigeria, West Africa over a 16-year period. Derk's education includes two postgraduate degrees (MBA & MSc. Mgt.) from the University Maryland University College, College Park, MD; Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management, from Nyack College, Nyack, New York; and he is a graduate of the United States' Army Sustaining Military Base Leadership Management (SBLM) from the U. S. Army Management Staff College, Fort Belvoir, VA. Derk is a licensed certified advanced professional business coach (LCAPBC), and a licensed certified master life coach (LCMLC). And, he has earned over 500 hours of continuing education credits, augmenting his professional development with executive training in strategic and business planning; finance, accounting, and budgeting; professional facilitation and consultant practitioner; team building; organizational leadership for executives; hospitality management and marketing through executive training and developmental summer programs.
