Alyssa Laurie

Alyssa Laurie serves as our Audiology Assistant and as a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COHC). Alyssa is a graduate of Calumet High School and worked at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital prior to joining the team in 2021. Alyssa received her COHC certification through the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation in Nashville, Tennessee. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones and exploring the great outdoors.

Dr. Kati Stilwell

  • Audiologist in Iron Mountain, MI
Dr. Kati Stilwell is our main Audiologist in Iron Mountain, Michigan. She is from lower Michigan and has found her home in the beautiful UP. Dr. Stilwell received her bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing Health Sciences from Northern Michigan University in 2015. Kati received her doctoral degree in Audiology in May 2019 from Central Michigan University. Dr. Stilwell established the only cochlear implant program in the Upper Peninsula in 2019. She is passionate about best practices and providing top of the line hearing healthcare to all of her patients. Dr. Kati Stilwell is from lower Michigan and has chosen to call the beautiful UP, home. She received her bachelor's degree in Speech & Hearing Health Sciences from Northern Michigan University in 2015. Then she obtained her Doctorate of Audiology from Central Michigan University in 2019. Dr. Stilwell is UPA's full-time audiologist in Iron Mountain, MI. She enjoys providing hearing healthcare services to Dickinson County and the surrounding area residents. Dr. Stilwell established the only cochlear implant program in the Upper Peninsula to better serve our community. She is excited about working with all ages and serving all hearing healthcare needs in order to help her patients connect to the word around them! Her free time is spent with her husband, Adam, and their dogs enjoying their own piece of the Upper Peninsula!

Dr. Krista Frick

Dr. Krista Frick received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her doctorate (AuD.) from Wayne State University. She then practiced in the greater Detroit area before moving back to the Upper Peninsula to work as a VA Audiologist in Iron Mountain. She joined the team at Upper Peninsula Audiology in the fall of 2018. Dr. Frick enjoys working with patients of all ages, and feels privileged to have the opportunity to help her patients be better able to interact with the world around them. In her free time she and her husband enjoy chasing their four children and exploring everything the Keweenaw has to offer.

Dr. Melissa Collard

Dr. Melissa Collard is a Copper Country native and a graduate of Calumet High School. She received her bachelor's degree in Speech and Audiology from Western Michigan University. She also received her doctoral degree in Audiology (AuD.) from Western Michigan University. Melissa Collard is a Copper Country native and a graduate of Calumet High School. She received her bachelor's degree in Speech and Audiology from Western Michigan University. She also received her doctoral degree in Audiology (AuD.) from Western Michigan University. Before moving back to the area in 2011, she was working at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, MI. Melissa is passionate about hearing healthcare, serving her local community and showing through actions what excellence in Audiology looks like. Melissa and her husband Gregg have two children and two dogs (Copper and Lola) who may come to greet you when you walk into the office.

Dr. Taylor Fisher

Dr. Taylor Fisher received her undergraduate degree from Northern Michigan University and her doctorate (AuD.) from Salus University. She joined the team at Upper Peninsula Audiology in the spring of 2022. Dr. Taylor Fisher is an Upper Peninsula native, born and raised in Ishpeming. She received her undergraduate degree from Northern Michigan University in 2017. She also received her doctoral degree in Audiology (AuD.) from Salus University in 2023. Taylor enjoys working with patients of all ages, and seeks to provide excellent hearing healthcare to the local community. In her spare time, Taylor and her husband, Dalton, enjoy wrangling their animals and enjoying the beauty that the UP has to offer.

Sherrie Vorbeck

Sherrie Vorbeck serves as our Office Manager and Biller and as a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COHC). Sherrie graduated from Jeffers High School and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Portage Hospital before joining our team in 2012. Sherrie received her COHC certification through the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation in Louisville Kentucky. She lives in Houghton with her family and enjoys spending her free time exploring the amazing Keweenaw outdoors.
