Dr. Asad Khan - CEO

Dr. Asad Khan joined the company in 1995, and holds more than 20 U.S. and international patents in cholesteric materials and displays. Dr. Asad Khan is CEO of Kent Displays Inc. In his long career with Kent Displays, Dr. Khan has overseen the product development, engineering, quality, manufacturing, and research and development functions. For over 23 years, his expertise has been instrumental in many of the company's key strategic planning decisions and many of its most transformational business interactions. Dr. Khan holds more than 20 U.S. and international patents and is a co-inventor on several pending U.S. and foreign patents on cholesteric materials and displays, and is the author of numerous technical publications in liquid crystals. Dr. Khan is also adjunct Professor of Chemical Physics at the Liquid Crystal Institute at Kent State University. Dr. Khan is a member of the Society for Information Displays and the Society for Optical Engineering. He holds a B.S. in Physics from the College of Wooster, an M.S. in Physics from Kent State University, and a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from the Liquid Crystal Institute at Kent State University.

Dr. J. William Doane

Dr. Doane is a world renowned expert in the field of liquid crystal materials and devices. Together with William Manning of Manning Ventures of Rochester, NY, they co-founded Kent Displays, Inc. in 1993. Dr. J. William Doane, was the director of the world-renowned Liquid Crystal Institute at Kent State University from 1983-1996 and led the effort during that time to establish the National Science Foundation Center for Advanced Liquid Crystalline Optical Materials (ALCOM). As an active member of the international science community, he has held visiting appointments and maintained cooperative research programs in several countries. Dr. Doane was instrumental in formalizing the International Liquid Crystal Society and served as the organization's first treasurer from 1990-1996. Dr. Doane was named a Fellow of the American Physical Society in 1982 and retired from the Kent State University in 1996 after a 31-year teaching and administrative career. Dr. Doane most recent award was the first ever presentation of the Slottow-Owaki Prize for Display Education at the Society for Information Display's 2007 annual conference.

Joel Domino - President

Joel Domino first joined Kent Displays at its founding Chief Financial Officer in 1993, becoming the company's President in 2002. Joel Domino is Kent Display's long-serving President. Domino's expertise in financial planning, strategy, and operations management has been pivotal in driving the company's incredibly fast growth since launching its Boogie Board brand in 2010, including a long streak of year-over-year annual revenue growth averaging over 30%. Domino first joined Kent Displays at its founding Chief Financial Officer in 1993, becoming the company's President in 2002. Prior to joining Kent Displays, Domino held executive-level positions at Madera Glass Company, a $100 million joint venture subsidiary of Ball Corporation. Domino also currently serves as a Director for Manning & Napier Advisors, Inc., a New York Stock Exchange-traded money management firm with over $23 Billion in client assets. Domino also serves on the regional Ohio Means Jobs Workforce Board. He has a B.A. in Accounting from Mount Union College and a M.B.A. from California State University.
