Steve Olsen is a passionate and dedicated acupuncture practitioner with over a decade and a half of experience in the field. Graduating in 2007, he has established himself as a skilled practioner specialising in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. His passion for understanding and managing both acute and chronic injuries and pain has been driving his practice since it's inception. Comitted to lifelong learning, Steve continually hones his skills, believing that the road to mastery is never ending and every new day brings oppurtunies for growth. In 2019, Steve had the distinction of becoming the first practitioner in Australasia to qualify in the Sports Medicine Acupncture Certification® programme in the USA. He still remains the sole holder of this qualification in New Zealand, making him uniquely trained to comprehend the intersection where traditional acupuncture meets contemporary sports medicine. Having assisted the programme's founder, the renowned Matt Callison as teaching assistant, Steve has enjoyed rare oppurtunities for hands on learning from one of the leading minds in the field. These experiences have honed Steve's skills in developing effective treatment methods. Additionally Steve is qualified as a Neuro Kinetic Therapy Level 3 practitioner. NKT is cutting edge technique that identifies and corrects dyfunctional movement patterns. This unique skill set allows him to address the underlying causes of pain and dysfunction, resulting in more comprehensive and long lasting results for patients. Furthermore, Steve is also a qualified Anatomy Trains Structural Bodyworker. This holistic approach focuses on the interconnectedness of the body's fascial system and aims to restore balance and optimise movment by addressing dysfunctions within the entire structural system.
