AMAGANSETT

The Amagansett U.S. Life-Saving & Coast Guard Station museum is dedicated to the historical preservation of the building and to all who served in the Life-Saving Service and Coast Guard in Amagansett until 1944. Restored to its original appearance and situated in the same footprint where it was built in 1902, the Amagansett Station is a significant part of the Town of East Hampton's maritime history... In May 2017, after its dutiful historic restoration, the Amagansett Station opened its doors as a museum for public education and enjoyment. Through special programs, visiting exhibitions, tending to our one-of-a-kind permanent collection, and a dedicated group of docents and volunteers, we strive to preserve its story for generations to come... The Amagansett Life-Saving Station is a maritime museum on Long Island dedicated to the historical preservation of the building and to all who served at the Amagansett U.S. Life-Saving Coast Guard Station from 1902 to 1944.
