Alathea Letaw is a data scientist at Apollo Actuarial Services. She has a PhD in Ecology from the University of British Columbia, and over ten years of experience applying quantitative and computational methods to understanding data. She has expertise using SQL, R, and Python in many facets of data science and analysis, including data cleaning; statistical analysis; model building; data visualization; and web scraping.
Alathea is a plant and pollinator enthusiast. She is a member of the Native Plant Society of Oregon and the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation.
Rob Fisette is a consulting actuary in healthcare and the founder of Apollo Actuarial Services. He holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Oregon. He has extensive experience consulting with healthcare payers and providers, including:
Utilization and cost benchmarking, trend setting, and other analyses;
IBNP analysis for periodic reserving and financial reporting;
All aspects of Medicare Advantage bid development and experience monitoring/reporting;
Risk adjustment program analysis, design, implementation, and administration;
Capitation rate setting and rebasing;
Alternative Payment Model (APM) design, pro forma analysis, and settlement estimates;
Predictive modeling of healthcare costs and population risk;
Market research and feasibility analysis.
