Daniel Breazeale

Dr. Breazeale joined Arbor ObGyn (previously Atrium ObGyn) in 2011 after a 15-year medical career in the U.S. Navy, including service in Guantanamo Bay and Afghanistan. He received his medical degree in 1999 from the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland. Obstetrics & Gynecology residency was completed in 2003 at the Navy's busiest facility, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth Virginia. He also has degrees from Indiana University and the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. Dr. Breazeale is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He provides all dimensions of obstetric and gynecologic care, and has special interests in the areas of recurrent miscarriage, uterine fibroids, and disease of the cervix. In addition to surgical procedures in the office, he also performs hospital based minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Dr. Breazeale is an avid tennis player. He and his wife live in north Raleigh with their three sons.

Dr. Carter Gray

Dr. Carter Gray was born in Winston-Salem, NC, and earned her medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 1999. She completed her ObGyn residency at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D. C. in 2003 and was then employed by Duke University Women's Health Associates. Dr. Gray joined Arbor ObGyn (previously Atrium ObGyn) in 2010. She is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. "I love being an obstetrician and gynecologist. Being able to take care of women through the years and build relationships with them and their family is very fun and exciting for me. I really look forward to this new change in my life and being part of such an amazing team" Dr. Gray enjoys golf, tennis, and traveling in her spare time. She and her husband live in Durham with their two sons.

Elizabeth McGrath

Elizabeth McGrath is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She was born and raised in Raleigh and graduated from Broughton High School. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011. After working at Rex Hospital as a Labor & Delivery nurse for eight years she received her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier University in 2018. Mrs. McGrath lives in Raleigh with her husband, infant son, and two dogs. She enjoys spending afternoons hiking in Umstead park, and attends Hayes Barton United Methodist Church.

Keiko DePasquale

Dr. DePasquale grew up in the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. She made her way to Raleigh, NC and attended North Carolina State University for her undergraduate degree. Go Wolfpack! She earned her medical degree from Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine and then traveled to Columbus, Ohio where she completed her Obstetrics & Gynecology residency at OhioHealth Doctors Hospital. Dr. DePasquale made her way back home to her roots in Raleigh where she joined Arbor ObGyn. She now lives in Raleigh with her husband and son. "I am ecstatic to be back home in North Carolina, and to join such a genuine, patient-oriented practice with Arbor. The practice is everything you could ask for as both a patient and a provider with kind, honest, and caring providers. I am truly honored to practice here and to serve the Raleigh community." Dr. DePasquale loves being able to walk through all stages of womanhood with her patients and is looking forward to building and fostering relationships with her patients and families. As an osteopathic physician, she also offers osteopathic manipulative treatment for her patients. She has specific interests in minimally invasive surgery including Da Vinci robotic surgery, obstetrical osteopathic treatments, and breast-feeding/lactation care. In her spare time, Dr. DePasquale enjoys hiking, cycling on the peloton, and spending time with her family. In the winter months you may find her on the ski slopes as she also enjoys snowboarding.

Matthew Alvarez

Dr. Alvarez grew up in Circleville, Ohio and attended The Ohio State University where he earned two degrees. Go Bucks! He received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1993, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He got tired of wearing suits and decided to change into more comfortable scrubs and completed medical school at OSU in 1998. North Carolina became his home where he completed his ObGyn residency at Duke University Medical Center earning Alpha Omega Alpha honors. He completed another year of training as a specialist registrar at Queen Mary's University Hospital in London, England. Dr. Alvarez moved back to North Carolina and joined Arbor ObGyn (previously Atrium ObGyn) in 2003. He and his wife live nearby with their four daughters. Dr. Alvarez's wife is a professor of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Duke University. "I love that ObGyn provides the opportunity to truly connect with families during pregnancies and that I also can care for women through all stages of life. What I love about Arbor is that we have the most professional and caring staff one could ever work with; a true family. We hope you find it that way, too." When Dr. Alvarez is not having a dance party in his kitchen or playing four-square, you might find him swimming, biking, or running. He has competed in all triathlon distances, including completing a full Ironman! He also enjoys boating, golfing, and OSU athletics. Dr. Alvarez is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is also a member of the North Carolina and Wake County Medical Societies. Dr. Alvarez is a past chairman of the Rex Hospital Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Meghan Presnell

Meghan Presnell is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Originally from Raleigh, she graduated from Broughton High School. She has Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and in Nursing from Duke University. She then worked at UNC Rex as a postpartum nurse while obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing from UNC-Chapel Hill (2016). She then worked as a Nurse Practitioner for a local Primary Care office for a few years before joining Arbor ObGyn in 2019. With her background in primary care combined with her interest in integrative and alternative medicine, Mrs. Presnell offers a holistic approach to her care. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Holistic Nurses Association. Mrs. Presnell lives in Raleigh with her husband, toddler daughter, and two dogs. Having pursued a professional music career, and still enjoys singing. The great outdoors, cheering on the Tar Heels, and spending time at the coast occupies any free time. "I empower my patients to take ownership of their own health, making and implementing lifestyle changes that improve their entire well-being. I have a particular passion for women's health and am grateful for the opportunity to take care of women across their life span."

Philip Deibel

Dr. Deibel grew up right here in Raleigh, NC. He is proud to be a Double Deacon, having received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Wake Forest University. He will accept fans of other ACC schools though, as his father attended NC State and his sister went to UNC. However, Duke alumni will be handled on a case by case basis. He traveled to Chicago for residency where he trained at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and then joined Arbor ObGyn (previously Atrium ObGyn) in 2013. Dr. Deibel lives in Raleigh with his wife and three children. "I am thrilled to be practicing in my hometown. And I feel fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful practice at Arbor. The practice has a unique balance of providers who are enjoyable to interact with on both a professional and personal level." While providing comprehensive care to women in all stages of their lives, Dr. Deibel has specific interests in obstetrics and management of abnormal uterine bleeding. He is prepared to offer the entire spectrum of treatment options including medical management, in-office procedures, and inpatient surgery. An additional focus of Dr. Deibel is minimally invasive surgical techniques, including da Vinci robotic surgery. In his spare time, Dr. Deibel enjoys spending time with his family, and enjoying the outdoors with their labradoodle. Dr. Deibel was previously chairman of the UNC Rex Hospital Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. His is also Board Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Rachel Runkle

Rachel Runkle is a board certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. She is a Raleigh native and went to Sanderson High School. She attended NC State, and then received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2006 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2011, Rachel completed her master's degree as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner also at the UNC-CH. She started working at Arbor ObGyn (previously Atrium ObGyn) in 2013. Rachel also had nearly ten years of experience as a Labor and Delivery nurse at Rex Hospital. Rachel is a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health. Mrs. Runkle lives in Raleigh with her husband and son. They enjoy exercising outside, cheering for NC State athletics, and regularly attend Hope Community Church. "I have a particular interest in obstetrics, its blessings and its difficulties; however, in gynecology, I enjoy contributing to a woman's awareness of her body and assisting her to care for it to her best ability. I enjoy forming trustworthy and educated relationships with women throughout their lives. Having the privilege to provide care in the fields of Obstetrics and Gynecology is a gift. Arbor ObGyn is a wonderful environment in which to practice."

Zoe Beatty

Dr. Beatty is a native of Chicago but grew up in the Raleigh area, graduating from Enloe High School. She earned her medical degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2001 and completed her ObGyn residency at Pennsylvania State University in 2005. Dr. Beatty joined Arbor ObGyn in September 2005. She is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. "What I love most about this specialty is that it allows me to help women at all stages in their lives, from contraception counseling to obstetrics to help with management of menstrual and menopausal issues. I feel so honored to be able to partner with women to navigate these changes." Dr. Beatty enjoys saltwater surf fishing, quilting and gardening in her free time. She and her husband live in Raleigh with their four children.
