Amy Klam

She has over 12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry as a title attorney. Amy received her undergraduate degree in Government from the University of Texas in 1997 and her JD from the University of Houston Law Center in 2001. She has several years of experience as litigator, most recently in the area of professional license defense. Amy's experience in the oil and gas industry dates back to 2005. Since that time she has worked as a title attorney with the Sadler Law Firm, Wiley, Edwards & Wright, and Martin, Bode, Werner & Mann, PLLC, which later became Bode & Werner, PLLC. Anne Bullen

Education Vanderbilt Law School (1996) Rice University (1992) Anne Bullen has been in the oil and gas industry since graduating from law school in 1996. She has experience as a field landman, in-house counsel to a small independent, an oil and gas title attorney in private practice and a minerals manager for a large institutional mineral owner. Anne graduated from Rice University in 1992 with a BA in French and Political Science. She earned her JD from Vanderbilt Law School in 1996. She has been licensed to practice law in the State of Texas since 1997. She began her career as an oil and gas title attorney with Kilburn, Jones, Gill & Campbell, LLP, in 1999. In 2002, she joined the firm of Randall K. Sadler & Associates, P.C., where she first practiced with John Bode and Keith Werner. In 2007, she returned to Kilburn, Jones & Gill, LLP to oversee the title section. In 2008, she joined The Kilburn Law Firm, PLLC, as Manager of the Title Section, which, at its peak, consisted of 95 attorneys. Anne is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association, the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section of the Houston Bar Association, and the Houston Association of Professional Landmen.

Christopher T. Shannon - Shareholder

Education University of Houston Law Center, JD (2005) Texas A&M University, BS (1998) Chris Shannon is a Shareholder for the Firm of Bode & Werner, PLLC. He has over 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry as a field landman, an in-house attorney/landman, and as a title attorney. Chris received his undergraduate degree in Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1998 and his JD from the University of Houston Law Center in 2005. In 2015 Chris was recognized by the American Association of Professional Landmen as being a Certified Professional Landman. Chris began his career in the Oil and Gas Industry as a field landman, assembling runsheets, performing courthouse research, leasing and due diligence in various counties throughout Texas. After nearly two years of field land experience, Chris joined the Sadler Law Firm as an associate where he wrote numerous title opinions and assisted in due diligence projects. In May of 2011 Chris joined the Firm of Martin, Bode, Werner & Mann, which later became Bode & Werner, PLLC, where he worked for two years writing title opinions and assisting in due diligence projects. In 2013 Chris joined a medium-sized publicly-traded exploration and production company as an in-house landman and attorney where he managed large-scale leasing projects, acquisitions, and operated and non-operated joint-venture drilling programs. Chris is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law, is a Certified Professional Landman, and is a member of several Professional Associations, including the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section, State Bar of Texas; the Oil, Gas and Mineral Law Section, Houston Bar Association; the Houston Association of Petroleum Landmen; and the American Association of Professional Landmen.

Jamie Budnick

Education South Texas College of Law (2005) Sam Houston State University, BA (2002) Jamie Budnick is Of Counsel for the Firm of Bode & Werner, PLLC. She has over 12 years of experience in drafting Title Opinions. Jamie got her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business from Sam Houston State University in 2002, and her JD from South Texas College of Law in 2005. She began her career in the Oil and Gas Industry as a landman, assembling runsheets and conducting curative research primarily in Burleson County, Texas. She made her way into writing Title Opinions by working at Labanowski & Associates for several years, and later joined Kilburn Law Firm, PLLC. In addition to drafting numerous documents/agreements related to oil and gas and real property law, she has rendered hundreds of title opinions on various types of issues, including division order analysis, mineral and lease acquisition, pooling and mineral and leasehold ownership of acreage throughout numerous counties in the State of Texas, as well as many other states. Jamie is a member of the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section and the State Bar of Texas, as well as an inactive member of the State Bar of Ohio, the State Bar of North Dakota, the State Bar of Kansas, the State Bar of Nebraska and the State Bar of Arkansas.

Jason received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Rice University in 2000, where he was a member of the 1998 Western Athletic Conference Championship baseball team. After two years in a sales position, Jason enrolled in law school in 2002 and received his JD from the Texas Tech University School of Law in 2005. After Law School, he began his legal career with the law firm of Shipman & Associates, PLLC, in Burleson, Texas. In 2007, Jason began working in the Oil and Gas Industry as a field landman, assembling runsheets, performing title research and buying oil and gas leases in various counties throughout Texas and Louisiana. After several years of field land experience, Jason joined the Firm of Martin, Bode, Werner & Mann, which later became Bode & Werner, PLLC, in November of 2008 and has been an valuable component in the Firm's unprecedented growth and expansion. Jo Ann was an associate with Woods, Aston, Harmon & Clark and subsequently worked in the oil and gas section at Jackson & Walker. John Bode - Shareholder

John Bode is a shareholder and founding member of the Firm of Bode & Werner, PLLC. He has over 21 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, and has been writing Title Opinions for over 16 years. John got his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Houston in 1989 and his JD from the University of Houston Law Center in 1992. He began his career in the Oil and Gas Industry as a field landman, assembling runsheets, performing courthouse research, leasing and due diligence in various counties through Texas and Louisiana. After several years of field land experience, John ventured into writing Title Opinions as a solo practitioner. He later joined the Sadler Law Firm as an associate and left after several years to form the Firm of Martin, Bode, Werner & Mann, PLLC, which later became Bode & Werner, PLLC. He has helped oversee the Firm in periods of unprecedented growth and expansion. Keith Werner

Keith Werner is Of Counsel for the Firm of Bode & Werner, PLLC. He has over 32 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, beginning as a field landman, becoming an in-house Land Manager, a corporate transactional attorney, in-house counsel for a public exploration and production company, and title attorney. Keith obtained his undergraduate degree from Louisiana Tech University in 1972. Upon graduation, he served in the U. S. Army while stationed in Wurzburg, Germany. He returned to the United States in 1975 and attended South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas, obtaining his JD in 1978. After law school and a brief litigation practice, Keith was lured to the oil field where he began as a field landman in the early 1980's, and subsequently began writing title opinions. He was subsequently hired by Prudential Drilling Company as Land Manager, where he learned first-hand all about oil and gas operations and running exploration and production programs. In the mid 1990's, Keith became Vice-President Land & Legal for Saratoga Resources Company, a public oil and gas exploration company in Houston, Texas. From Saratoga, Keith joined the law firm of Boyer, Ewing & Harris as part of their oil and gas and transactional practice. Keith subsequently joined the Sadler Law Firm in 2005 where he continued examining title and writing title opinions, participating in numerous acquisition and due diligence projects. In late 2007, Keith started the Firm of Martin, Bode, Werner & Mann, PLLC, which later became Bode & Werner, PLLC. From humble beginnings, and through hard work and dedication, the Firm has survived and become a family of professionals dedicated to serving its clients. Keith is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of North Dakota (Inactive), and several Professional Associations, including the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section, State Bar of Texas; and the Houston Association of Petroleum Landmen. Keith is a Life Member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and is the proud grandfather of Summer Elizabeth, Kalyn Lee, Claire Olivia, Robert W. and Landry Michelle.
