Betsy J. Lamm

BETSY J. LAMM joined CDQ in 2008, following a judicial clerkship for the Honorable Chief Justice Ruth V. McGregor of the Arizona Supreme Court. Betsy has practiced at the firm her entire professional career. Betsy's practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, including appeals. Betsy routinely handles complex legal issues and litigation positions for clients in the private and public section. Her cases have involved a wide spectrum of issues, ranging from breach of contract, defamation, breach of fiduciary duty, conspiracy and business disputes to Section 1983, Title IX and Title VII claims. Betsy has litigated cases through all stages of trial. Betsy also has significant appellate experience, representing clients on appeal before Arizona's appellate courts, the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal and the United States Supreme Court. Betsy has successfully handled oral argument on novel legal issues before the Arizona Court of Appeals and the Ninth Circuit. Betsy is also an active member of her community, serving as a court-appointed member of the Foster Care Review Board in Maricopa County since 2016 and spending time volunteering at her children's elementary and middle schools. Betsy is a member of the Foster Care Review Board ("FCRB") in Maricopa County, Arizona, a citizens' review board created by the Arizona statute to advise Arizona's juvenile court system on progress toward achieving permanent, safe placements for children in foster care. Members of the FCRB are appointed by the Presiding Juvenile Court Judge in Maricopa County to serve three-year terms. Betsy has served as a member of the FCRB since her initial appointment in 2016, with reappointments in 2019, 2021, and 2024. Betsy has also served as a screening interviewer for the American Bar Association's Judicial Intern Opportunity Program ("JIOP") since 2009, repeatedly participating in the Phoenix JIOP annual orientations, and serving as a formal JIOP mentor from 2009 to 2014. Betsy also encourages her two children to take action in their community, most recently preparing hygiene and cleaning kits with her children to donate to the Welcome to America Project (https://wtap.org/), an organization dedicated to assisting refugee families resettling in Arizona. Finally, time permitting, Betsy enjoys volunteering at her children's elementary and middle schools in the Madison School District.

Cindy C. Albracht-Crogan

CINDY C. ALBRACHT-CROGAN joined CDQ in 2000 and was named a partner in 2009. Cindy practices in the areas of commercial litigation and ADR. She has repeatedly been named as one of the top litigators in Arizona, including multiple recognitions as one of the best women lawyers in the state. Cindy is very active in the American Bar Association ("ABA"), where she was for several years the Co-Chair of the Section of Litigation Solo & Small Firm Committee, Co-Chair of the Task Force on Solo & Small Firm Outreach and a member of the Young Litigator Task Force. Cindy currently serves as National Co-Chair for the Section's Judicial Intern Opportunity Program ("JIOP"), whose mission is to work together to provide opportunities to students that are traditionally underrepresented in the legal profession and as an Arizona Co-Chair for the American Bar Association's ABA Foundation. Daniel E. Durchslag

DANIEL E. DURCHSLAG is a CDQ partner. Daniel first joined CDQ in 1998 and has practiced law in Arizona for over 25 years. During his time at the firm, Daniel has successfully guided CDQ clients through virtually every type of business dispute, including real estate litigation, business torts, intellectual property and employment matters, and fiduciary breaches. In addition, from 1999 until 2003, Daniel served as in-house counsel for an international nutritional company headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, including devoting more than two years as the company's General Counsel. Daniel prides himself on bringing a business-minded perspective to the world of high-stakes civil litigation. DANIEL P. QUIGLEY is a CDQ partner and the Vice President of the firm. He has been practicing law in Arizona since 1984. Since joining CDQ in 1997, Dan has practiced in all areas of commercial litigation, including cases raising antitrust, intellectual property, and real estate issues. Dan has lectured at the State Bar of Arizona's Professionalism courses and been an instructor at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy's Arizona Deposition Skills Program. Her article "To Compete or Not to Compete: Illinois' Movement to Eliminate Noncompete Agreements" was published in the law journal in 2017. Kaysey Fung joined CDQ in 2016. Kaysey also served as an Extern for the Arizona Supreme Court Staff Attorneys' Office. Ronald Jay Cohen

RONALD JAY COHEN is the founding partner of Cohen Dowd Quigley. From 1972 until June 1991, Ron was a trial lawyer at the Phoenix, Arizona law firm of Streich Lang where he became a senior litigation partner. Ron has practiced in all areas of complex commercial litigation and is one of the most respected litigators in the United States. Ron has served as a Faculty Member and Advocacy Demonstrator throughout the country, including at Emory University School of Law, Harvard Law School, Louisiana State University School of Law, Cardozo Law School and Arizona State University School of Law. He has taught and lectured in more than one hundred programs throughout the United States and Europe. Ron was the co-recipient of the Maricopa County Bar Association Robert R. Mills Member of the Year Award in 1986. The Honorable Robert E. Keeton Award annually presented by the National Institute of Trial Advocacy recognized Ron in 1991 as the finest teacher of advocacy in the United States.
