As Senior Director of Operations, Amy Stalzer oversees the centralized operational processes of the OUE including budget, front desk reception, events, student records, data and technology, and communications. She works closely with the deans and directors of OUE to support office initiatives. Amy also manages staff professional development on behalf of the office. Prior to joining OUE in 2017, she spent nine years at Emory's Goizueta Business School in a leadership role within the MBA Admissions Office.
Amy is originally from New York but now a long-time Atlanta resident. Her educational studies and research have focused on issues of college enrollment and retention for freshmen, for women, and for Latino-Hispanic students. Amy's dissertation work in sociology of education examined the role of social capital in higher education. Amy also has a special interest in the educational success of U.S. military veterans.

As an Associate Dean, Dan Dillard is responsible for overseeing programs providing academic advising and support, working with students and faculty on issues affecting students' academic performance, and serving as the College liaison to Emory University offices including the Department of Accessibility Services; Counseling and Psychological Services; Student Health Services; and Student Case Management and Intervention Services. As Associate Dean, he also coordinates the faculty Committee on Academic Standards and works closely with campus partners to support students experiencing hardship or crisis.

Dean Dillard came to Emory from the Seattle Colleges where he served for several years as Associate Dean and taught the occasional Comparative Religion course. He holds a PhD in American Religious History (secondary area: Islamic History) from Florida State University where he also taught in the Religion and Humanities departments. He has nearly 20 years of experience in higher education teaching and administration, split equally between academic affairs and student services, and is certified in the advising areas of financial aid, veterans, and international students.

Jason Ciejka is associate dean for academic programs and faculty partnerships and serves as the primary liaison in the OUE for departments and DUSs in the humanities, arts, languages, and history. He supports faculty initiatives related to curriculum, assessment, and educational policy.
As Director of the Honor Council, he oversees the academic misconduct process for undergraduates in Emory College, working closely with a faculty advisory board. Dean Ciejka coordinates the selection process for senior commencement awards and liaises with financial aid and development in the awarding of endowed scholarships. He also serves as the OUE liaison to Phi Eta Sigma freshman honor society.
Dean Ciejka graduated from the College of William and Mary where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received an MA and PhD in Art History from Emory. His academic interests center on architecture, art theory, and biography in early modern Italy, especially seventeenth-century Rome. He has taught courses for Emory University, Spelman College, Agnes Scott College, and Kennesaw State University, and a study abroad program in Europe for the Georgia Institute of Technology.

An Associate Dean, Melissa Tarrant has oversight of Pre-Health Advising, which provides programming and advising for students interested pursing a professional health program after graduation from Emory. She also oversees Student Support, including the EPASS peer tutoring and mentoring program, and works on retentions and progression initiatives. She serves on the Committee on Academic Standards.
Dean Tarrant previously served as Director of Research at the Georgia Independent College Association in Atlanta. Prior to that, she was the Director of Advising at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, GA. She earned her BA and MA in English from Baylor University, and an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Alabama. She has over 30 years of higher education experience in academic advising, student support, institutional research and university administration.

An Associate Dean in the Office for Undergraduate Education, Shari Obrentz oversees New Student Programs (First-year and Transfer Orientation, Oxford ATLBound) and Returning Student Programs. She develops and oversees the ECS 101: The Emory Edge course that all first-year students complete during their first semester. Prior to her current appointment as Associate Dean, Dean Obrentz served as the director of Pre-Health Advising (2012-2022) learning specialist and director of the EPASS peer tutoring and mentoring programs (2005-2011).
