Job Titles:
  • Coach
Courtney grew up in a small town in Ohio playing sports as a kid and got into competitive cheer and dance in high school. She went to college at the University of Cincinnati where she earned a bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition and was a member of the Army ROTC program which led her to joining the Army. After starting a family and getting out of the Army she finally gave in and tried CrossFit with her neighbor and never looked back. It helped her gain strength and confidence she didn't know she was missing. She found it fun to challenge herself in new ways to see what her body was capable of and she started coaching two years later in 2019. After some health issues in 2021 followed by some surgeries Courtney leaned on CrossFit and the community through those challenging times to help her regain her strength and confidence. Her biggest piece of advice for anyone interested in starting CrossFit is that it truly is for everyone. Take that first step and walk into a CrossFit gym. When you find that community and realize you are welcome and you are capable no matter where you are in your fitness journey, it'll change your life for the better.
