Adoptions are handled through Probate Court. The procedures can be completed based on the type of adoption. I can assist with the paperwork and hearing, but you must work through Children's Services, or other court recognized groups... Unrelated Adoption: Adoption of child not related by blood or marriage, either informally or through a recognized adoption agency... Step-Parent Adoption: A step-parent may wish to adopt the child of the new spouse.
