DEWRIGHT - Key Persons
Prior to the formation of DEWright, Inc., a California based energy and outreach consulting company located in Long Beach, CA, Mr. Wright served a Vice President with Plains All American Pipeline LLC and was primarily focused on the development of a deep water marine facility in the Port of Los Angeles. Prior to his role at Plains, Mr. Wright was the Executive Vice President of Pacific Energy Partners with Corporate Development and Marketing responsibilities. Mr. Wright participated in taking Pacific Energy public on the NYSE in 2002. Mr. Wright was active in the future growth and development of Pacific Energy until the General Partner was sold to Plains in late 2006. Prior to joining Pacific Energy, Mr. Wright served as Vice President of Pipelines and Terminals with Tosco Corporation where he was directly responsible for the management of the Unocal west coast pipelines and terminals acquired by Tosco during the Tosco acquisition of the downstream Unocal assets. Prior to Tosco Mr. Wright worked with GATX Terminals (now owned by Kinder Morgan) as Vice President of the GATX Western Region (Terminals) and later was Vice President of the GATX Terminals pipeline systems including Calnev Pipeline and Central Florida Pipeline.
Prior to working with GATX Terminals, when he first moved to California in 1979, Mr. Wright was founding part owner of Crystal Energy, a company engaged in crude oil and products trading. After selling his interest in Crystal Energy, Mr. Wright developed and owned Baja Resources, an investment company that invested in a variety of businesses which included equipment leasing, oil and gas production, development of reclamation projects for coal mines and pipeline projects.
Mr. Wright started his petroleum career in 1968 with Continental Pipe Line Company and spent a little over 11 years with CPL and Conoco in various engineering, project development, NGL marketing and operations management positions. While at Conoco Mr. Wright was assigned management roles in various physical locations including Houston, TX; Ponca City, OK; Cheyenne, WY; Cut Bank, MT; and Salt Lake City, UT.
Mr. Wright received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1967 and his M.S. in Business Administration in 1969 from the University of Wyoming. Mr. Wright also served as an officer in the US Army for two years in the Washington DC area and Korea. Mr. Wright is married with three adult children and four grandchildren.
Mr. Wright is also currently a partner in California Canadian Business Associates, LLC, a partnership focused on the development of various forms of trade between California and Canada.
