Digby is inspired by Sir Kenelme Digby, the emblematic and distinctive English philosopher, gourmet, intellectual and member of the Privy Council of King Charles I of England. He published several articles in aristocratic magazines, culminating in his cookbook, "The Closet of the Eminently Learned SIR Kenelme Digbie Kt. Opened". Sir Digby is considered to be the father of the modern translucent wine bottle, hence the focus in Digby is on the bottle - and the fine wines that Portugal has to offer...
