Our research team was presenting our work at a Rural Research event hosted by OMAFRA in 2014. A representative from the Sarnia Lambton WFPB was in the audience. Our presentation led to a conversation about a Research Partnership for the Administration and Analysis of their Employer One Survey. After successfully signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the nine Western WFPBs and our research team, and a year of data collection by the WFPBs, our preliminary analysis is ready to be released... This was an excellent example of a research collaboration and partnership that is mutually beneficial. The WFPBs administered the survey, and subsequently our research team analyzed the data and provided our interpretation of the results. We will be conducting future regression analysis with the intention of publishing in an academic journal and presenting at an academic conference. This collaboration is a wonderful example of the synergy that can occur from getting the right people together..
