All too often employer branding is put into a box that sits within Talent Acquisition (TA) or Human Resources (HR). And yes, it is fantastic to have an internal employer brand team or representative but what is forgotten all too often, is that the employer brand is built, designed and owned by the employees. Your employer brand on the most part, is why employees choose to get out of bed in the morning, why they enjoy their work and how they talk about it to their family, friends and peers, in conjunction with the overall company brand, mission and vision. Therefore, the employer brand is organically grown and owned by the internal workforce, it is this audience and focus that is often forgotten, with the majority of EB efforts facing outwardly to support acquisition.
