Alan Pontius oversees executive management of IPA's specialty divisions including Multifamily, Office, Industrial, and Retail product types. Al began his career with the firm in 1985 and consistently ranked among the firm's Top 25 real estate brokers in that role. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a Marketing emphasis from San Francisco State University.

Daniel Taub

Daniel Taub serves as the national director of IPA's Retail Division, guiding the firm's retail business strategy throughout North America. Mr. Taub joined the firm in 2020 from DMT CRE Advisors, where he served as managing director, and before that was president and chief operating officer of DLC Management Corp., one of the nation's preeminent owners, operators and managers of shopping centers. In his more than two decades in commercial real estate, Mr. Taub has earned a reputation for excellence in leading strategic growth, process innovation and team management. Mr. Taub received a BA in Economics from Boston University and completed the Harvard Business School's Real Estate Management Program.

Evan Denner

Mr. Denner joined the firm in 2019. As the head of corporate strategy, he developed and executed strategies aligned with Marcus & Millichap's long-term growth plan by improving the company's business model, processes and platform, as well as through the acquisition of synergistic companies and groups. Before he joined IPA, Mr. Denner spent several decades in real estate and financial services in executive leadership and entrepreneurial roles. He founded one of the largest student housing companies in the United States, was a senior managing director and head of merchant banking at Cantor Fitzgerald, and held several positions on Wall Street. Mr. Denner graduated from Hofstra University with a Bachelor of Business and received his Master of Science degree from Columbia University.

Greg Willett

As a multifamily specialist, Greg Willett focuses on new community development and existing property acquisitions. With extensive expertise in real estate research and analysis, Greg leverages his technological acumen and deep knowledge of market fundamentals on a national, metro, and neighborhood level to partner closely with clients to achieve their investment goals. He is active in the National Multifamily Housing Council, the Urban Land Institute, and the National Apartment Association, and started his career in the multifamily industry as a data analyst and research consultant. Greg holds a bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University and a Master of Liberal Arts degree from Southern Methodist University.

John Chang

John Chang serves as IPA's Senior Vice President and National Director of Research Services. Mr. Chang is responsible for the production of the firm's commercial real estate research publications, tools and services. These reports, briefs and studies cover national and local market commercial real estate research for a variety of property types throughout the US and Canada. Mr. Chang speaks frequently at conferences, corporate events, webcasts and client engagements, sharing his insights into major economic trends and how they influence the performance of commercial real estate investments. In addition to being an active participant in several commercial real estate organizations, Mr. Chang serves as a member of the NMHC Research Foundation Advisory Board. Mr. Chang was elected to Vice President in 2010, advanced to First Vice President in 2013 and promoted to Senior Vice President in 2018.

John Manning

John Manning is the Senior Vice President, Head of Production for the Western Region of Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation. In this role, he specializes in securing financing for the hospitality sector, high-rise residential development, and institutionally owned office assets. Mr. Manning has facilitated the closing of billions of dollars' worth of transactions during his 20-plus years in the commercial real estate origination space. Previously, he was a Principal at Avison Young, leading the origination of debt and joint venture equity placements throughout the Western U.S. Mr. Manning built and led the capital markets finance practice of the San Francisco office of JLL and was their top West Coast debt placement originator from 2011 to 2019. Mr. Manning holds a B.S. in commerce from Santa Clara University and a master's in finance from Golden Gate University.

John Sebree - SVP

Mr. Sebree began his career as an agent with Marcus & Millichap, and he earned numerous awards including eight National Achievement Awards as well as Top 20 and Chairman's Club designations. He then moved to a managing director position with Holliday Fenoglio Fowler, where he brokered major multifamily properties throughout the Midwest. In 2011, Mr. Sebree returned to Marcus & Millichap as senior vice president and national director of the Multi Housing division. His extensive background as a major multifamily specialist spans more than 20 years.

Marc Sznajderman

Paul Lewis

Prior to joining IPA, Mr. Lewis spent nearly three decades at Fannie Mae where he built and led teams responsible for the marketing, negotiation and approval of over $50B in debt originations; co-founded, designed and led Fannie Mae's first Institutional Borrower group which managed loan origination for its largest borrowers; established and led Fannie Mae's first West coast-based underwriting team; and negotiated some of the largest and most complex transactions in Fannie Mae's history, including a $1.2B portfolio refinance. Through his work with the federal agencies and as a private consultant, he amassed invaluable experience and insights that have helped to broaden IPA's agency loan origination capabilities. Mr. Lewis is a graduate of Morehouse College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Banking and Finance.

Travis Headapohl

Travis Headapohl is responsible for securing debt, equity and structured financings for commercial real estate properties throughout the U.S. He oversees the execution process, utilizing his well-established relationships with capital sources to secure optimal financings for clients. Travis is a graduate of Southern Methodist University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a minor in Economics. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute.
