Anthony Clark

Job Titles:
  • Project Manager
13 years and counting of dedicated service, Anthony Clark is one of our most valued workers here at LA Services. As the Project Manager of Pipelines, his day to day responsibilities include estimating, procurement, welding coordination and project management - fundamental roles imperative to our company. Finishing year 10 and moving onto the TAFE welding course, his humble beginnings as a welder and tradesman have made such an impact on our family where his enthusiasm for manufacturing has inspired his fellow employees. Despite his critical role in our company, like any other person, he enjoys winding down with his family and friends - relishing in the simple pleasures of life. With the many years under his belt, Anthony has seen the change in the industry going from purely industrial to digital. He hopes for the longevity of manufacturing with the support of the government and local communities.

David Fox

David Fox is one of our most valuable mentors and teachers of LA Services as he goes above and beyond in creating a new history for our family. He is the bridge between a conservative industry and modern innovation as he connects with countless students to impart his years of experience in the manufacturing field. His work has extended to not only secondary students but also participates in Western Sydney University Launch Pad's pilot I4.0 Advanced Manufacturing Network sharing lessons in transforming manufacturing across the technical and social spectrum.

Debbie HINCHLIFFE

Job Titles:
  • Project Administrator
Debbie is our project administrator, her day to day work involves updating project hours and integrating this with payroll, reconciling accounts and project purchases, managing operational administration matters. She also ensures personnel details, training, leave and records are maintained and support staff with miscellaneous requests. Debbie's role is central to LA Services operations and she is an integral part of the LA Services team. Her working life began through a vocational training pathway completing a Certificate III in Administration from Year 10. She worked in customer service, then into administration for an import / export business. Her next chapter was to fulfill the diverse and challenging role of raising her three children. Successfully navigating a decade of being family focused, Debbie re-entered the world of paid work through an administration role supporting a large defence services provider, as this opportunity came to a close she moved into her current role at LA Services bringing her skills, efficiency ways and enthusiasm to the position. Debbie has a passion for being active and community involvement. She has played soccer for 15 years and coached numerous female teams. She maintains an early morning run routine, covering several km and running regardless of the weather! She is a member of several running clubs and participates in Saturday morning ‘Park Runs'. Even though her family has now grown-up she enjoys stepping back into the role of mother to support her family and ensures they remain closely connected.

Jamie Smith

Job Titles:
  • Workshop Supervisor
Nearing 25 years of faithful service, Jamie Smith has seen it all as one of the key players that helped build LA Services into what it is today. At this point, it is safe to say he is the central cog of the business as the supervisor who oversees the important work in the workshop. He emphasises in being a team player and liaisons closely with all the employees in the workshop, now founded as an indispensable mentor as he leads by example and proactively works alongside his colleagues. Working his way up from a boiler maker to a supervisor, Jamie has expanded his work repertoire and made the best of his problem solving skills by working on big projects that taught him what he was capable of achieving. His active outlook reflects in his everyday life as he is unable to sit idly in front of the tv. In his spare time, he likes to exercise at home or train in his AFL team. His takeaway from many years of service is that the industry is changing and for the better - where cross skilling and the digital realm has redefined the very nature of work. He hopes for the future of manufacturing to stay within Australia and that the first step to ensure this is to utilise the revolutionary technology that is available to us. He recognises his work betters society and hopes to share the same pride with the new generation of manufacturers.

Johnny Salsa

Job Titles:
  • Projects and Commercial Manager
Johnny Salsa is our Projects and Commercial manager and is in charge of liaising with customers. His responsibilities include discussing with tenders to ask for quotations and to understand the specific needs of a client in order to achieve satisfaction both internally and with clients. Both Johnny's education achievements of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical) and many faithful years of service in the manufacturing industry have helped supplement LA Services both on a practical and technical level. His profound insights not only provides solutions to complex problems but also reflects our drive in giving our clients the highest quality service and products. He was compelled to join our family due to our leading reputation in the oil and gas industry, and has not looked back since. His proactive nature is not limited to his work ethic where he finds leisure in playing soccer and volunteers for his local club. Johnny has high hopes for the future of manufacturing, as he believes there is great potential for Australia to be deemed as the "high-end" manufacturers of the world. As LA Services continues to increase our ventures into I4.0, he believes that both our family and Australian manufacturers are capable of adhering to any requirement and demands that our international and domestic clients require of us. So long as we strive to improve our manufacturing processes and continue producing the highest quality products, he can only envision the return of the industrial industry.

Norman Chouaifaity

Job Titles:
  • General Manager
Norman began working at LA Services in 2006 and held several different roles within the company. These roles included IT/Administration, QA Administration, HR/Safety Officer and Production Manager. Committed to the future, in 2016 LA Services established the Innovation Manager position and Norman moved into this role and in parallel, completed his AS1796 welding certification certificate. Norman has extensive experience in developing new business opportunities, coordinating internal operations and overseeing entire project/production lifecycles.

ORCUN KARABEL

Job Titles:
  • QHSE Engineer
Orcun, who has recently joined LA Services in July 2021, has more than 10 years of Quality Control & Quality Assurance, WHSE experience in Integrated Steel Foundry, Automotive, Metal Fabrication, Construction Industries. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, and an MBA degree. He is currently the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Engineer at LA Services. He started his career as a Production Engineer in an Integrated Steel Foundry, and he worked for an International Automotive tier-1 supplier as a Quality Control & Management Systems Lead. His experience includes: in-process inspection/verification and ongoing process Quality Control, development, implementation and maintenance of IATF 16949 Automotive Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, ISO 3834 (Welding Quality Assurance), taking leadership for problem solving methods, continuous improvement projects (Kaizen), conducting 5S audits. He always takes responsibility and initiative. During his projects, he not only performs his duties but also conducts extra research and shares his results with everyone else on the team. He always takes the extra step to complete the job in a perfect manner. Higher-quality, advanced products and continuous innovation : manufacturing will be no longer what we know it to be; it will be better. As a personal motto, he believes in going beyond what is expected from him and put all his effort, motivation and energy into every job that he involves himself in.
