Due to the strong water absorption peak at 1.94μm, the Tm:Fibre laser is the perfect tool for precision cutting and ablation of soft tissue across multidisciplinary applications for both open and keyhole surgery. The strong absorption at this wavelength makes it the ideal choice for all aspects of soft tissue surgery as it provides almost bloodless cutting, giving the surgeon a clear view of the treatment area... The laser beam is delivered via standard silica optical fibres which can be used with most standard endoscopes, laparascopes for minimally invasive surgery.
