Bill Hensley

He is a frequent television commentator, and he previously hosted his own AM radio talk show. Hensley served as an officer and supersonic jet instructor pilot in the United States Air Force, where success or failure was measured in inches while traveling at 500 miles per hour. After leaving the Air Force, he flew for several decades as a commercial airline pilot for one of the world's largest passenger airlines. Corley's research has appeared in the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Annals, Organizational Research Methods, and Organization Science. Previously, Corley was an assistant professor of management at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Miami University and his Ph.D. from the Smeal College of Business at Pennsylvania State University. Corley serves on the editorial review boards for the Academy of Management Journal and Journal of Management Inquiry, and is the personnel committee chair for the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship.
