The concept of the ‘Lanka Government Cloud - LGC' evolved from the need for establishing proper infrastructure facilities for hosting the middle-ware components of the ‘Lanka Gate' project. The infrastructure implemented with a limited scope was later enhanced as the ‘LGC' for facilitating the other Government needs.
