West Coast Fishculture was founded in 1973 by Ward Griffioen as a small family business which quickly grew into a substantial farming operation. Ward helped pioneer the opportunity for salmon farming in the Pacific Northwest and was always a visionary in the quest to do fish farming the right way. We continue to hold true to Ward's founding principle of producing high quality fish in a socially and environmentally responsible way and now lead the world in best practices for farming fish sustainably.
