Andrew Barfoot - COO

Andrew is a Partner and Financial Advisor, and is a CFP® professional. He particularly enjoys working with young professionals, helping them establish a mindset of living abundantly through smart, values-driven financial planning. Andrew is a Partner and Financial Advisor. He finds particular joy in working with young professionals in the wealth accumulation stage of their lives, helping them establish a mindset of living abundantly through smart, values-driven financial planning. In addition, he enjoys walking alongside those nearing or entering retirement, helping them put together the pieces that will enable them to enjoy this exciting (yet oftentimes daunting) phase of life. Andrew is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. Prior to coming onboard with the firm, he spent the early years of his career as a small business executive. His most recent position was as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for an international aquaculture firm based out of the Seattle area. In his eight years in that role, he traveled well over 1 million miles to more than 45 countries around the globe. His experience in closely-held businesses and merger & acquisition negotiations, as well as his international exposure, give him a unique and valuable perspective that he brings to the Madison Park team and our clients. Andrew graduated with honors from University of Washington in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, with concentrations in Finance and International Business. He also holds an MBA through the Leadership Executive MBA program at Seattle University, graduating at the top of his class in 2011. He became a CFP® practitioner in 2017, and has served on the Board of the FPA of Puget Sound, chairing the annual Symposium for two years. Andrew is married and resides in Seattle. He and his family enjoy spending time in the outdoors gardening, hiking, golfing, and more, doing house projects, and participating in the life of their church. They are proud supporters of Seattle's Ronald McDonald House, and you can annually see Andrew and his boys donning kilts in the "Kilts of Kids" fundraiser supporting the great work of this organization. And they really love good food!

Bill Reece - SVP

Bill has over 20 years of experience as a financial advisor, and prides himself on communication with clients through a listen-first, listen-often approach. Bill uses his lifelong experience focusing on two items: researching the issues facing clients and finding the best strategies to help them reach their life-defining goals. Bill actively communicates with clients through a listen-first, listen-often approach. He began his finance career with Edward Jones in 2003, where he became an award-winning mentor and trainer to financial advisors. He joined MPCA in 2016 after many years serving clients at UBS and RBC Wealth Management in Seattle. He holds the Accredited Asset Management Specialist SM (AAMS®) designation. Bill is a veteran of the United States Navy, submarine force. He served aboard two fleet ballistic missile submarines, the USS John C. Calhoun and the USS Alaska, and completed eight strategic deterrent patrols. While on shore duty in San Diego, California, Bill was the lead instructor at the naval anti-submarine warfare training facility, teaching advanced submarine sonar electronics. After the service, Bill worked as a senior test engineer at Rockwell's semiconductor division, and later became a director at a privately held start-up. Bill's last stint in the start-up world was at AirFiber, where he was the senior manager of service programs.

Christopher Featherstone - Founder

Chris is a Principal and co-founder of MPCA, and CFP® professional. He is a former small business owner with an entrepreneurial perspective that gives him a greater understanding of business owners and their unique planning issues. Chris is a Principal and Co-founder of Madison Park Capital Advisors, and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He brings nearly two decades of industry experience working with and understanding clients and their needs, as well as the emotional or behavioral side of investing that all investors must deal with. Chris is a former small business owner with an entrepreneurial perspective that allows him to have a greater understanding of business owners and their unique planning issues. Chris received his Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration at Seattle University, graduating in 1991, and the CFP® certification in 2003. It was, and continues to be one of the most rigorous professional designations and one of the most prestigious certifications in financial planning. In addition, he has also received the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation. This furthered his CFP® certification training, allowing him to interact and understand more about financial and estate planning so he can collaborate more effectively with attorneys and accountants, as well as better understand the goals of our clients. Chris is married and resides in Mukilteo with his wife, son, and unending number of dogs. He enjoys flying as a private pilot and drinking great wine…but not at the same time!

Dan Phillips

Dan brings 30+ years of finance experience to MPCA, with a long background on the institutional side of the business. A long-distance athlete in his spare time, he sees his role as very similar to a coach of highly-competitive athletes. Dan has more than 30 years in finance as an institutional advisor, including over a decade at Goldman Sachs. He joined Madison Park Capital Advisors in order to focus on individual investors. A long-distance athlete with a World Championship in Masters Swimming among his accomplishments, Dan sees his role as very similar to a coach of highly-competitive athletes. He holds an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University. He and Kelley, his wife, reside in Carnation, WA. Their two children have returned to the Seattle area as well.

Jeffrey Mullen

Jeff is a past Chair of the Investment Committee and former member of the Board of Directors of the Seattle Pacific University Foundation, where he advised on matters relating to asset allocation, capital appreciation strategy, and intergenerational equity. Jeff is a Principal and co-founder of Madison Park Capital Advisors, and a veteran of over 30 years in the investment industry. His focus is developing asset allocation frameworks and tax-efficient equity portfolios targeting long-term capital appreciation. Prior to establishing MPCA together with Chris Featherstone, he spent his entire career with Morgan Stanley and RBC Wealth Management.
