Henry was appointed General Counsel in 2019. He brings significant fiduciary expertise with considerable experience as in-house counsel in trustee companies and also time in private practice.
Henry is an expert in the trusts and estates field and is a regular presenter for the legal profession's continuing legal education seminars, as well as media interviews for trust, estates and wills related matters. He has experience in all facets of the process from the preparation and implementation stages through to disputes, claims and proceedings, having appeared in the Family and High Courts as well as the Court of Appeal.

James has two decades experience in the Trust and Financial Services Industry, most recently as TOWER Insurance's Chief Executive Officer for 4 years. James has also held directorships in a number of New Zealand companies, including TOWER Life Limited, Asteron Life New Zealand Limited, and National Insurance Life & Health Limited.
James holds a Bachelor of Commerce and attended a Management of Professional Firms programme at Harvard University.

Most notably, he was responsible for chairing an independent boutique investment business as well as developing a UK FTSE 100 company's investment platform entry into the UK intermediary market. John brings a truly international flavour to Perpetual Guardian.

Patrick was appointed CEO Perpetual Guardian in 2020. He brings extensive experience in the business and the industry, having spent more than six years as Complectus Group General Counsel, building the group through a series of acquisitions and integrations and fronting our relationships with investors, regulators, government, advisors, and media.
Prior to joining Perpetual Guardian, Patrick practiced law at Russell McVeagh, and has also worked for international law firms in Dublin and Malta, specialising in corporate and commercial law, capital markets and joint ventures and shareholder arrangements.

Rob was Group Managing Director of TOWER New Zealand Limited from 2006 until July 2013 following the sale of TOWER's health and investment businesses. Tim Chesterfield has more than 20 years of experience in global financial markets, including 18 years as a Senior Global Equity Investment Manager.
He has previously worked as Head of Equities at QBE Insurance and has been responsible for group-wide equity investment returns in New Zealand, Australia, Europe, the UK and the US. He has strong commercial and strategic acumen, with a focus on investment products and the delivery of scalable investment solutions.
