My name is Elex Ridings. I have been fishing since I was old enough to wade Little River in East Tennessee with my best friend. I moved up to getting my boat, "My Mistress" (lovingly named by the wife). I have 3 daughters and each of them and my wife have fished in tournaments with me. None of them shared my love of fishing until my granddaughter. Being 6 years old, she still has not mastered sitting on the lake for hours at a time... but she loves sitting in the garage with me while I make my tackle. She is the real reason for "Poppy's Jigs." She calls me Poppy. She can tell you how a jig is made, names the main colors and can look at a skirt and tell you if there is too much of a color in it. I am proud of that little girl.
