RESILIENT WOMAN

Older women suffer the burden of cultural norms and inability to make decisions at the family level in addition to the burden of care and involvement in unpaid work. These barriers cause women and girls to lag in social economic development. Resilient Woman's mandate is to create programs that remove barriers that put women and girls at a disadvantage in perpetuity. On the 24th of May the year 2014, Resilient Woman was formed by bringing a group of like-minded passionate individuals, who were also the initial board members. Two years later ‘Resilient Woman' was registered under the CBO Act. RW has since been helping the women, girls, r children and their communities to overcome the above barriers and mitigate the impact of the harmful cultural norms, social economic challenges and practices that stand in the way of their progress.
