ROBOTIC - Key Persons
Bridget Wilder received a BA in Medical Biology from the University of New England and an MS in Physician Studies from Samuel University in Oakland California. After her training in PA school, she knew orthopedics would be the right fit for her interest and work habits.
Today Ms. Wilder likes that she can provide a full spectrum of care to her patients, guiding many through their entire surgical process. Her focus is on providing the best care for each patient, from their initial visit to their preoperative assessment, assisting in surgery and following up with post-operative assessments.
In her spare time, Ms. Wilder enjoys spending time with her family and dog in North Stonington, CT. She also has a genuine interest in working in underserved communities and has volunteered in San Leandro, CA, Springfield, MA, and in Sanford, ME.

Mr. Rodger's overall approach to patient care is very pragmatic, with a goal of getting his patients back to function safely. He focuses on educating them regarding their specific injury and disease process. He believes the more they understand the process and the physiology, the more they become invested and their recovery becomes smoother.
Married, with two young boys, he is very involved in their activities and coach baseball, soccer and hockey. Personally, he enjoys almost any outdoor activity, including hiking with his family and dogs, fishing, boating and kayaking.

Dr. Robert Marchand is an expert in robotic joint replacement. He is one of the most experienced MAKO robotic surgeons in the world, having performed over 3000 robotic procedures since 2010. He is a MAKO/Stryker consultant and has advised in the design and development of new products, including partial knee replacement. He is also on the educational faculty and has provided live virtual surgical procedures and training to surgeons worldwide since 2015.
Dr. Marchand found his passion for orthopedic surgery while at Cornell. There he had the privilege of working with Dr. Insal on knee service and Dr. Warren during his sports rotation; both innovators of knee surgery. Meeting these two people and the influence they had on him was the determining factor in his decision to specialize in orthopedic surgery.
Modern medicine can be a disconnected process and Ortho Rhode Island makes it more convenient for the patient with orthopedic and sports medicine, physical therapy and training all in one practice. He feels it makes it easier to deliver a higher quality of care, and the fact that he has spent most of his career there, speaks volumes about his belief in the practice and all we do for patients. He feels privileged to do what he does to improve patients' lives, to relieve pain and to increase activity and mobility. He finds every one of his patients to be inspirational, as their recoveries are all different and impact their lives in different ways.
While sports has been an important part of his prof essional life, it is equally important in his personal life. He is an avid cyclist, surfer, paddle boarder and snow boarder.
