David Stevenson - CEO

Mr. Stevenson has extensive experience in general management, business development as well as expertise in atmospheric and vacuum plasma technologies. In addition, Stevenson has 30+ years of experience in all facets of industrial research and development. This includes 15 years as the VP and R&D Director for the Advanced Research and Development Center of a major manufacturer of flat panel displays and touch sensors used in mobile devices Director Process Development at Guardian Glass Industries and CEO at several vacuum technology companies including Marcon Coatings, Inc. and Viratec Thin Films, Inc. Mr. Stevenson is the inventor of multiple plasma technologies that are widely used in the flat panel display, architectural and automotive glass industries. At Scion Plasma, he is providing leadership in strategy and business development using his rich network of relationships in the vacuum and coatings industries.

Irwin Richman

Mr. Richman entered the vacuum industry, travelling the USA as a Product Manager for the leading European manufacturer of Roots blowers and pumping systems, largely serving front end semiconductor OEM's and end users. Subsequently he joined a manufacturer's rep firm with a focus on HV and UHV hardware and surface analysis instruments. With the inception of Erie Tech Group in 2012, Mr. Richman has especially focused on understanding the needs of large area and industrial coaters of optical, solar and tribological coatings.

Li Qin Zhou - President

Dr. Zhou is a materials scientist with more than 20 years of experience in plasma assisted thin film processing. She is the inventor of eight US patents, including a rectangular/linear type sputter plasma source for large-area coatings. Dr. Zhou oversees and manages the operation of Scion Plasma and is also involved in the development of the ion source technologies.

Maheshwar Shrestha

Dr. Shrestha leads the efforts in engineering and testing the ion source technologies and is the PI on multiple federal funding grants. He received his Ph. D in Electrical Engineering from South Dakota State University and has 10+ years of experience in thin film processing and vacuum technologies.

Qi Hua Fan

Dr. Fan is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Michigan State University. He has more than 20 years of experience in industry and academia researching plasma sources and plasma-materials interactions with over 100 publications. His industrial experience includes seven years as a research scientist with a large manufacturer of flat panel displays. Dr. Fan has invented multiple plasma sources and plasma processing technologies, which were successfully integrated into large-area coatings production. Dr. Fan has considerable experience in commercializing university research.
