Charlie Shumaker is a business lawyer with strong background in real estate development and corporate management.
Charlie's real estate practice includes the redevelopment of the Old Bank District and subdivision and commercial projects in San Francisco and San Diego. In the corporate area, Charlie also represents funding platforms, particularly in the hospitality and food sectors. Corporate client concentrations include hospitality, restaurant, media, and food-oriented enterprises as well as acting as outside general counsel for high net worth individuals.
Active in the local democratic community, Charlie has worked with numerous Independent Expenditure, PAC and similar policy-oriented entities focusing on infrastructure and education. In addition, Charlie represent a number of non-profit organizations, including The Actors' Gang, Angel's Flight Railroad Foundation and several mission-oriented charities.

Clarisse Young Shumaker is a business litigator with an expertise in corporate bankruptcy and real estate litigation. She trained in the corporate bankruptcy departments of Gendel, Raskoff, Shapiro, & Quittner and at Stutman, Treister, & Glatt, where she handled primarily corporate chapter 11 debtors, with a focus on real estate related bankruptcies. As Of Counsel at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky, & Walker, she primarily worked on the creditor side of real estate related bankruptcy matters.
Clarisse is the partner in charge of the litigation practice at Shumaker Mallory LLP where she strives to achieve cost-effective results for small and mid-range businesses. Clarisse has substantial trial, arbitration and mediation experience.

Emanuel Orlando focuses his practice on representing clients in emerging technologies including blockchain, cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence satellite technologies, online and console gaming, VR/AR products, robotics. Emanuel has particular experience handling security token offerings and traditional share offerings pursuant to Rule 504 and Rule 506(c) of Regulation D of the Securities Act of 1933 and Regulation A+ of Title IV of the JOBS Act. Emanuel represents cryptocurrency exchanges and token-based platforms in legal compliance in a complex and rapidly evolving regulatory landscape, including the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (including broker-dealer exemptions and compliance), Regulation ATS, Investment Company Act of 1940, Investment Adviser Act of 1940, CFTC's Commodity Exchange Act, and FinCEN's Money Services Business regulations. He also assists fund sponsors and promoters on the structuring, formation and launch of hedge funds, deal-by-deal funds and venture capital funds investing in cryptocurrencies, ICOs and other emerging technologies.

Rick Mallory's practice focuses on office, industrial and retail leases. He represents landlords and tenants in a broad range of leasing matters. In 1977, Rick was a founding Partner of the law firm of Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis, LLP, practicing with that firm until June of 2019. He is a frequent speaker at real estate industry seminars and conventions throughout the country and has published many articles on the subject of commercial leasing. In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and a member of the honorary land use society of Lambda Alpha International, he currently serves on the advisory board of the Practicing Law Institute (PLI) and has been the San Francisco chair of the PLI annual Commercial Real Property Institute, for the last 21 years.

Sandy Mallory is a real estate attorney with broad expertise in commercial leasing. She also has a depth of experience in acquisitions and dispositions of real estate and handles an extensive range of other real estate related transactions, including mediations involving real estate issues.
Having handled commercial leases totaling millions of square feet during her 37-year career, Sandy has worked with developers, tenants and landlords, large and small. Sandy's leasing practice includes industrial, office and retail leasing, with an emphasis on the hospitality and food sectors. Sandy's clients have included some of the finest restaurants in Southern and Northern California, Top Chef winners, Michelin Star restaurants and large restaurant franchisees.
