Seaway Shippers Association (SSA) was created with a unique take on the Shipper's Associations (SA) market. In a typical SA, a large number of low volume Beneficial Cargo Owners (BCOs) pool their volume together in order to sign more competitive contracts with the Steamship Lines (SSLs). SSA has flipped the script on this model and instead, work exclusively with large volume BCO's in order to ensure the most competitive contracts, with space guarantees from our SSL partners. This model allows our members the piece of mind that comes with stable pricing and space, even in the tightest of markets. While SSA is extremely selective in its membership process, once approved, members can take advantage of many of our class leading benefits SSA provides.
