A certified Six Sigma Black Belt and an Automation and Control Professional, Boby spent over 30+ years in the industry working for Tata Group (TCE), HoneywellInternational and Mactus Automation (As Co-Founder and CEO). Boby holds aBachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute ofTechnology, Calicut (NITC), India.
At Honeywell, Boby was the Senior Director of Engineering forAutomation & Control Solutions overseeing a group of 2,500+ engineers involved in automation and control product engineering for applications in industrial, commercial and residential markets. At Mactus, Boby built a business to provide automation, control and compliance management products and solutions to Indian and international companies in the areas of life sciences, healthcare and food processing industries.
Boby has decades of experience in multidisciplinary NPD/NPI, global engineering site leadership and business leadership. Boby has undergone management development programs at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) as well as many corporate training programs for executive leadership at Honeywell.

Chris Awad joined Sol-Ark as Vice President of Human Resources in February of 2023. With over twenty-five years of people operations and talent experience, Chris brings demonstrated success in leading human capital efforts in a variety of industries. He has been a consultant as well as an executive, with particular skill and competence in supporting large scale organizational change and growth. Chris held leadership roles at SunEdison, Equifax, CMA Global, Answers Corporation and LeaderScout before coming to Sol-Ark. He earned his BA in Psychology from University of Virginia, and his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from University of Missouri-Columbia. He also holds two masters degrees, in public affairs and rehabilitation counseling.

John Martinson was appointed Chief Operations Officer of Sol-Ark in August of 2023. He is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience leading large and complex operations at Fortune 500 companies, and leading smaller organizations through rapid growth. John has expertise in lean, six sigma and business process excellence, driving improvements in efficiency, quality and delivery performance. John held leadership roles at Bayer HealthCare, Honeywell, and Carrier. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University and Master of Business Administration from LeMoyne College.

Matt Thompson joined as the VP of Sales for Sol-Ark in December, 2023. He has 25 years of sales experience where he distinguished himself as a growth catalyst by creating strategies and building winning teams to propel organizations to the next level of success. Matt served in sales leadership positions in Tektronix, Axell Wireless, Cobham Wireless, and, most recently, Honeywell where he led a team of 150+ sellers responsible for $1B in revenue. Matt received his Bachelor of Science in Physics from the United States Military Academy at West Point and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a veteran having served as an officer in the U.S. Army.
