Spectrum Books Private Limited was born in 2001 when it took over from Spectrum India-a publishing firm that was almost experimentally set up in 1990-91, in a very small way, with just one book in print. Within five years, Spectrum India had made a niche for itself in the publishing world with its books for those preparing for the UPSC civil services examinations and the state public service examinations. Spectrum Books Private Limited continues the tradition while Spectrum India now presents articles and news items of relevance on its website.
